Modern automotive culture has grown increasingly international as the internet allows niche enthusiast groups to proudly broadcast their fun for the whole world to see. But one guy named Chad Bee has been traveling around Southeast Asia digging up some amazing motoring events the likes of which nobody in the United States has ever heard of, including some wild high-speed tractor racing in watery, muddy fields.

Bee also checked out a 1990s JDM-themed car meet up in Bangkok and now, on his YouTube channel CB Media, he's posted a new clip featuring an entire fleet of Audi R8 GT3-spec racecars.

More Or Less Expected

This video features a much more normal aspect of gearhead culture in Thailand, as he explores the new facility for the B Quik Racing team, which competes in the Thailand Super Series against similarly GT3-prepped supercars from the likes of McLaren, Ferrari, and Lamborghini.

B Quick Racing has their hands full prepping their cars for competition. But Bee's visit isn't all business, as his hosts immediately want to see whether his 6'4" frame can actually even squeeze into the tight space of the mid-engined R8 and its roll cage. He manages to climb in and exclaims that the seat position is actually quite comfortable—albeit without a helmet on.

B Quik, the company that owns the racing team, is Thailand's most ubiquitous vehicle service and maintenance corporation, with a nationwide network of shops and trucks that can't be missed. Such a widespread enterprise funds the racing team and, as with all motorsport, it's pretty expensive.

At one point, Bee holds one of the R8's lightweight doors over his head, only to learn that it costs a whopping $6,000. For those in need of their revs and some tire-shredding, the video ends with a Ford Raptor doing donuts and one of the R8 cars blasting away with its wheels removed.
