New Chevrolet Features For A Fresh Driving Experience

The new Colorado is available in four trims – Standard, Trail Boss, ZR2 and the ZR2 Desert Boss. There is a bare-bones Work Truck trim also available with all the bare necessities.

You can choose between three interior options for the standard Colorado. The Work Truck and Trail Boss feature a classic, rugged look, while the LT has an interior with silver accents and a wrapped steering wheel. For a more competitive look, there's the Z71- a sporty black-and-red look with leather seats.

When it comes to the 11.3-inch infotainment screen, it is hi-res and integrated with Google so that you can use Google Maps and play music. A great asset is the Off-road Performance Display: you can see pitch, roll, tire pressure, altitude, and GPS guidance, as well as up to 10 cameras, more than any of the competitors in its class.

Just like its elder brother, the Silverado, the Colorado has Hitch Guidance, which provides a line of guidance for lining up the trailer with the hitch, but in 2023 Hitch View was introduced to provide a zoomed-in perspective on the alignment.

The new Chevy has advanced safety and driver awareness systems despite looking like a beast. The standard configuration includes Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, among other features.

The WT and the LT feature 17-inch wheels, meanwhile Trail Boss and Z71 go all out with 18-inch wheels.

The ZR2 is the most powerful of all the Colorados, with a 2.7L Turbo High-Output engine pumping out 310 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque. It can trail up to 7,700 lbs. Suitable for both newbies and expert off-roaders, it features better standard equipment than the normal Colorado configuration. It features multiple drive modes such as Normal, Tow/Haul, Off-road, Terrain, and Baja.

The dampers on the 2023 ZR2 enable smooth rides on-road while staying robust on rough terrain. Additional equipment for the ZR2 includes a light bar for the grille, bumper lights for off-roading.

The pickup truck boasts outstanding equipment, such as heated power seats, LED lights, tough and rugged front and rear bumpers, and a spray-on bed liner for maintaining the truck. The drive will be a pleasant experience thanks to the Multimatic DSSV damping technology, 17-inch wheels, and 33-inch terrain tires.

A feature standard on the ZR2, but optional on other Chevrolet Colorados, is a secure, watertight built-in tailgate. After lowering the tailgate, there is a lockable lid below which lies a 45-inch-wide and 4-inch-deep compartment. The tailgate can be positioned halfway between open and closed for storing longer items. There are two bicycle grooves for biking enthusiasts.

Not satisfied with the ZR2? The ZR2 Desert Boss has earned its name and reputation thanks to the fame of the Colorado as a desert racer and takes the new line of 2023 Chevrolet midsize trucks to a whole new level.

With all the features of the ZR2, the Desert Boss offers additional perks.

The most noticeable will be the angry "Desert Boss" decals and Black Colorado emblems. It also sports an off-road bumper fascia with a safari bar. An underbody camera, another great off-road feature, will enable you to see obstacles underneath the vehicle.

It uses the 2.7-Liter Turbo High-Output engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. But also includes graphite and oxide gold wheels, a configurable tailgate, and a high-performance suspension.

One of the most impressive features of the Desert Boss, which is especially important for any terrain vehicle, is its suspension. The Multimatic, spool-valve dampers (DSSV), are used in race cars and all-terrain cars alike. It provides a feeling of stability and control both on-road and on rough terrain.

There are plenty of additional features to enjoy on the Desert Boss. It exhibits a roof-mounted light bar, sport bars with sail panels, a special wiring harness, and an auxiliary power box. Probably the most important are the beadlock tires, which are superb for all sorts of rough terrain.

What's not to love about the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Desert Boss? An upgrade from the regular ZR-2, a max-performance desert racer with advanced safety systems, great off-road capabilities, a sleek interior with a giant infotainment display, and a boxy, rough, modern, and fiery look on the outside.
