This decade started with Chevrolet making radical changes to the Corvette, which the brand has plans to continue doing. Chevy started off by debuting the very first mid-engine Corvette in 2020 with the latest and greatest C8 generation 'Vette. For 2023 the brand has introduced the mightier, high-performance Corvette Z06 model of the same generation which can devour supercars for breakfast. But things are only starting to spice up, and there are stronger weapons getting sharpened in Chevy’s arsenal.

In 2024, the Corvette nameplate embarks on another legendary journey as Chevrolet is all set to introduce the hybrid Corvette E-Ray. Followed by that in 2025, Chevy is expected to launch another first-from-the-brand model, which is the Corvette SUV. The iconic Corvette nameplate being donned by an SUV will surely be something to look out for. Will this upcoming beastly SUV be able to overpower the sportiest SUVs currently available in the market? Moreover, how much would it cost? Keep reading to find out.

The 2025 Corvette SUV is reported to have a fully electric powertrain. GMC has already introduced two behemoth EVs based on the same electrified platform. The GMC Hummer EV as well as the upcoming 2024 GMC Sierra EV are both based on the GMC Ultium electric platform and feature the same battery technology and underpinnings. Both of these muscular machines are exceptionally potent and fast, churning out upwards of 700 horsepower.

However, unlike these brash and rugged GMC trucks, the Corvette SUV is expected to be a sporty, more agile Chevy SUV, resembling characteristics of its sports car sibling. Hence, it might not have the same underpinnings as the GMC EV trucks, but it is still expected to be powered by the same Ultium battery technology which promises surprising power and torque figures. We expect the Corvette SUV to flaunt an all-wheel-drivetrain consisting of four electric motors, one powering each wheel.

When Will Chevy Launch The Corvette SUV?

Chevrolet is on a roll with the Corvette, and they have multiple products lined up for the next couple of years. As for 2023, Chevy has launched the 670-horsepower Corvette Z06 which is the first mid-engined iteration of the Z06 with a screaming, hand-built, naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 engine under its hood. This supercar slayer looks phenomenal and bustles gracefully to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds.

Following the Z06, Chevy has promised to launch the first-ever hybrid, AWD Corvette, named the Corvette E-Ray in 2024. The Corvette E-Ray will sport the naturally aspirated V8 engine from the Corvette Stingray along with a 160-horsepower electric motor to produce a combined output of 655 horsepower. Only after the release of the E-Ray, Chevrolet will launch the fully electric Corvette SUV, and we expect it to arrive in 2025.

How Much Will The Chevy Corvette SUV Cost?

Its aggressive pricing is what forever helped the Corvette attain its supercar-killer status, and we expect the Chevy SUV models to stick to that trend. As of now, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray starts at $64,500 while the more vigorous 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is priced at $105,300. The upcoming 2024 Corvette E-Ray, according to Chevy, will start at a base price of $102,900 which again is an impressive price for a car that can do 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds.

The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette SUV is expected to provide stiff competition to other potent EV competitors like the Tesla Model X and the Rivian R1S. Given the history of explosive power outputs and the confrontational pricing legacy of the Corvette, we expect the Corvette SUV to be super-powered and surprisingly priced. We expect the Corvette SUV to start as low as around $70,000 for the base model and top off at around the $100,000 mark for the top-end trim.
