The very first mid-engined Chevrolet Corvette Z06 continues to create waves around its launch, and this time they have partnered with digital artist Nick Sullo who goes by the Instagram handle xsullo.
Sullo has created an NFT of a minted green Corvette Z06 in collaboration with Chevrolet, and it’s headed for auction exclusively via SuperRare, which is only accepting bids in Ethereum, between June, 20-24. The person with the winning bid not only gets the NFT, but also a color-matching 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06! Here go all the details.
Chevy’s First Entry Into The Web3 Space
Being Chevy’s halo car, the ‘Vette is the brand’s first vehicle to join the NFT bandwagon. The event is the “Own the Color” auction where the winning bid will not only win the NFT but also a color-matched 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. No other production 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 will get the “Minted-Green” paint with the option code RFN, aka ‘radio frequency network.’
This C8 Corvette Z06 comes armed with Z07 Performance Package’s goodies, carbon fiber wheels, and a commemorative plaque to sweeten the deal.
Steve Majoros, vice president of Chevrolet Marketing, also stated, “This is our company’s first NFT. We see ‘Own the Color’ as an important stepping stone for Chevrolet into future digital initiatives for our customers.”
All the proceeds of this auction will go to DonorsChoose, an education charity, working towards strengthening GM’s commitment to STEM education. That’s like a triple win for the lucky person who places the winning bid.
Nick Sullo’s First Brush With The Real World
The California-born artist xsullo is ecstatic about this initiative as it’s the first time that he’s able to combine “digital art with the physical world,” something he’s wanted to do for a while.

Expected to go on sale this summer, this version of America’s favorite sports car will bear a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter flat-plane crankshaft V8 engine, jetting 670 horsepower, and 460 lb-ft of torque.
