The Nissan GTR Drag Car With A Grudge

The first car we lay eyes on in the video comes in at the 29-second mark of the video. The ever-popular V8 swapped John Odom Racing Nissan GTR is back with a score to settle. The V8 blown Nissan GTR is going up against Super Dave's blue Chevy C7 Corvette in the ultimate Grudge Race.

After a quick preview of the exteriors of the cars, the two arrive at the strip. Super Dave claims the right lane and magnificently smokes the tires. John does a much longer burnout in his GTR and both return to the tree. At the 2:23 mark, the two cars fly off the line. Although the Corvette takes off quicker, it is not long before the GTR takes the lead and finishes with a clear win.

The next race sees our protagonist GTR vs the gorgeous red Chuck 55 Chevy Bel-air. The Chevy pulls into the right lane with a decent burnout and reverses back to the starting line while John Odom is still doing his burnout. Once the two line up they wait patiently for the tree to go green. With the previous win still, fresh John is oozing confidence.

The two racers take off at the 5:13 mark and the GTR once again leaves its opponent struggling behind it. This is one fast Nissan GTR R35.

John Odom's team-mate, and very clearly great friend, Jim Howe is racing in a 1968-69 era Chevy Camaro. With a very similar setup to the GTR, we see a blown American V8 engine. Even down to the short side up-swept exhausts. Jim pulls up to the right lane against a white latest generation Camaro driven by Scott Taylor.

It's a Classic Vs Modern race. The two complete their burnouts in impeccable fashion and line up. At the 10:29 mark, the light goes green and the orange Camaro propels forward and leaves the younger sibling in its wake. Something is clearly not working on Scott's Camaro as he leisurely finishes several seconds after the orange classic Chevy. Jim proves once and for all that the Odom Racing Team is at the top of the drag racing food chain for a reason.
