When it comes to fitting a big, Hemi V8 engine into a car, you might not consider doing so with a classic Maserati Quattroporte. Thanks to the beauty of digital car renderings, though, that’s something we very much can do. Abimelec Arellano has created this stunning rendering set, taking a classic 1970s Quattroporte—a car that the auto world didn't exactly receive warmly, but has developed a fondness for. Something that should appeal to enthusiasts with this rendering, however, is that Arellano shoved a big, 6.4-liter Hemi engine into the Quattroporte with just a few more modifications, to turn it into a Cyberpunk inspired restomod.

Classic Italian Lines With Big American Power

Starting at the front of the car, the beautiful thing about this rendering is that the beautiful lines of the third generation Quattroporte, first seen in 1979, are largely retained. The plastic front bumper is there, as are the original style headlights and grille.

An above shot though reveals the big Hemi engine sitting under the hood, that also has a 48-volt hybrid system to give it a bit more 21st century technology. The Quattroporte has a shaved engine bay, and there is a little sticker on the gas tank that indicates this car uses synthetic fuel.

Classic Body Lines Are Still Present

One other thing that is very much the same are the classic likes of this generation Quattroporte. Arellano says in his Instagram post that the finish of the body was extremely important, given he feels the lines and proportions of this generation Quattroporte are perfect.

The car thus has a bare-metal finish that really helps, as Arellano himself says, the body and gives it total freedom to show off its sleek lines. We can even see that the original door handles are present. But there are plenty of other details to look at in this rendering.

Interior Details And Original Wheel Design

The interior is also visible, and it is in a fetching green leather. The rear seat is a sofa-like bench and Arellano has updated the dash with a modern cluster, with the same layout as the Maserati MC20 but with the dial style of the original Quattroporte. Cameras and screens are there instead of the rearview mirrors.

On top of that, the original wheel design is present, but these are now of a three-piece with accentuated turbine fans. They are also larger than they were originally, with the wheels neatly wrapped into Michelin PS4s. This is a very cool rendering with plenty of the past combined with some modern touches.
