Even though I've always been a Ford man owning a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 and a 1971 Boss 351 Mustang, I've always appreciated the 1969 Chevy Camaro. It's a clean design that can be stuffed with an assortment of motors from GM's parts bin. The handling is also pretty good for a car of the era and they are easy to fix. They're quite popular in the resto world and are a common sight on the auction circuit as well. But with numbers quickly diminishing and the quality - or lack thereof - of some of those builds you might not know what you're getting half the time.

Classic Recreations is a Yukon, Oklahoma-based specialty car manufacturer and restorer that has been cranking on some of the hottest old school Mustang builds for years. You can customize just about any model you want from a rather sedate 1965 Fastback to a full-tilt 1967 GT500 with toms of creature comforts and performance upgrades. In an effort to expand their offerings, they also make a 1969 Chevy Camaro CR1. And it's a beaut!
