10 Fisker EMotion

Sleek and Aesthetic, this Danish concept was revealed last year and is already available for pre-order. When it hits the production line, its price is estimated at roughly $130,000. The EMotion has been scheduled for production 2020, but the company has decided to push this date back a year. The car will be fully-electric, featuring multiple engines that send a combined power output of an alleged 780 horsepower to all four wheels. It will compete with the fastest EVs out there, with a sub-three-second 0-60 acceleration and offering a minimum 400 miles of range on a single charge.

9 Byton K-Byte

After revealing the M-Byte concept as hitting the market in 2019, this Chinese startup has announced they're working on a new, and even more impressive, K-Byte. This fully-electric performance sedan is planned for distribution sometime in 2021, although the company has not yet clarified the exact release date.

This futuristic supersedan will boast a generous amount of glass, with a sleek, technology-driven interior and autonomous driving features. It will offer an estimated battery range of 520 kilometers, or about 323 miles. The same battery will deliver 470 horsepower to all four wheels.

8 Audi E-Tron GT

Similarly to the Q4 E-Tron, announced for production in the following year, the E-Tron GT will be a fully-electric addition into the brand's lineup. The E-Tron GT was revelead last year, at the 2018 Auto Show in L.A., as a sporty four-door coupe, producing 590 horsepower courtesy of two separate all-electric motors controlling the front and reare axles. This also means a quick, 3.5-second 0-60 time. Audi went far to ensure the E-Tron GT will appeal to everyone, so they fitted the interior with 100% vegan, recycled fibers. One of these is also speculated to appear in the upcoming Avengers 4 movie. So, we expect to see a lot more of this car in the near future.

7 Audi AI:ME

The E-Tron is not the only EV from Audi to bless the automotive community in the upcoming years. The brand also revealed an innovative concept for an urban commuter called the AI:ME. The car puts a high emphasis on convenience paired with passenger comfort and satisfaction. The AI:ME hence doesn't boast roaring power or impressive performance, it does however, impress with the ambiance.

6 BMW i4

BMW has recently announced their plans of releasing the all-new iX3 to the market sometime during 2020, but the company seems to be cooking up a lot more for us. Reminiscent of the current 4-series coupe, their new, fully-electric 4-door fastback dubbed the i4 is set to hit the market in the following years as well. Speculations place the i4's release sometime next year, but no official announcement was provided by the brand yet. Priced in the ball park of $50,000, the i4 will be a sporty sedan that's going to compete with the likes of the more expensive Tesla S. The performance doesn't falter far behind the Tesla as well, with an estimated 4-second 0-60 time with up to 435 miles of range on a single battery charge.

5 Lotus Evija

Announced at Auto Shangai 2019, the Evija is Lotus' first fully-electric hypercar and it's likely to hit the marked as early as next year. Until recently, the Evija was only known as Lotus Type 130, given its planned production run totalling in only 130 units. However, earlier this year, Lotus announced that Evija (meaning "first") will be produced under the Chinese umbrella company called Geely.

The car itself is designed to compete with the fastest and most powerful electric hypercars out there, such as the lauded Rimac C_Two. It will feature a 1,972-horsepower powertrain that's going to shuttle the car to over 200 mph. This would make it the most powerful production car to date. No release date has yet been specified, but the car is speculated to see daylight as early as 2020.

4 Mercedes EQS

Mercedes did not drop the ball either when it comes to their EVs. Their EQS concept has been familiar to the public for almost a year now as Mercedes' flagship all-electric sedan, yet its final design still remains a mystery. It will feature a completely updated, more aerodynamic design with dimensions place it a tad below the S-class sedan. Hence, its planned 408-horsepower power output paired with 516 lb-ft of twist will pack a silent yet powerful punch. The EQS is speculated to hit the showrooms in 2022. However, we're waiting for the official announcement.

3 Polestar 2

We've seen the Polestar name attached to some recent Volvo models, however, this Swedish manufacturer had recently detached itself from the brand to produce its own, highly anticipated EV - the Polestar 2 - and it's going to be a full-blown electric sports car. The Polestar 2 will compete in the electric four-door fastback segment, rivaling the likes of Tesla Model S. To make it competitive, Polestar is fitting it with a powerful, 592-horsepower engine good for about 310 miles on a single charge, for an estimated base price of roughly $60,000. Apart from that, a lot of development went into the car's progressive design, as it featured adaptive lighting, frameless mirrors, laminated glass windows and roof, and more. The Polestar 2 is already available for online pre-order.

2 Seres SF7

Aside from the smaller SF5 cross-over, the Chinese SF Motors recently announced the approaching release of their larger, and more impressive, SF7 SUV. Pre-orders are already open for SF5, and the company plans mass-producing both cars for the global market in the following years. The SF7 will be powered by four separate electric motors with a combined power output of 1073 horses, which will enable this full-size SUV to reach 60 mph in less than three seconds. This powertrain will be available for both models, and will support up to a 310-mile drive.

1 2021 Rivian R1S

Rivian is a US-based EV newcomer that surprised the public with their plans of releasing the new, attractive R1S full-size SUV. When it's produced, it will compete with tesla's model X, yet for a cheaper price. Owners will be able to chose between a 105, 135, or 180kWh battery pack. Opting for the latter will warrant at least a 400-mile drive on a single charge, and offer 700 horsepower and 826 lb-ft of torque. The 135kWH pack will offer even higher horsepower numbers (753 hp); however, the driving range will suffer. According to the company, these models should be able to hit 60 mph in three seconds flat, each also offering impressive off-road and towing capabilities. The R1S is expected to hit the market by 2021.
