The world of gaming and cars collide in epic fashion as the Cyberpunk 2077 “Quadra” Mustang is built-in real-life by Constance Nunes and the Rockstar Energy Drink Performance Garage.
After this beast was created it was decided that it would not stay in the hands of Constance, and instead would be given out as a grand prize. With anyone being able to win it, simply by buying limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 Rockstar energy drinks and submitting the online code written on the can.
The Quadra: From Video Game To Real Life
The Ford Mustang is modeled after the in-game “Quadra Type-66”, with most of the original bodywork being replaced with carbon fiber. In addition to saving weight and adding custom badges, the 1970 Ford Mustang was fitted with modern amenities, such as fog and reverse lights.
In addition, a custom wrap was given to the car to give it the same yellow seen in-game. But the most intrinsic piece of the exterior is seen as the grille, which was custom made to mimic the shrouded look of the Quadra Type-66.
Power To Go With The Looks
Under the hood, there have also been extensive modifications to bring the power and feel of the Quadra Type-66. This includes a stock-block 302 engine, a fuel-injection system, and a K&N intake system with 3-inch filters. And with only 38,000 miles on it, there is a lot of life left in the car to explore.
Matching The Exterior And Interior
To handle all of this new power and to manage the style of the exterior Rockstar and Constance also had to upgrade the interior, using a new STATUS steering wheel, and a set of yellow-lighted gauges from Dakota Digital. To finish off the experience the interior had some custom upholstery and high-end speakers fitted.
