The Monterey Car Week is here again and kicked off on August 12, 2022, in California. The much-anticipated auto show event is lined up with interesting activities that include reunions, expos, auctions, and of course, a car show. The last Monterey Car Week saw the unveiling of supercars like the Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider, Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner, Ford GT ’64 Prototype Heritage Edition, Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4, and Pagani Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta.

This year's Monterey motoring festival will see automakers like Audi, BMW, Hennessey Performance Engineering, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, and many others showcase some of their latest machines to the world. From electric supercars to modernized classics, here are the coolest vehicles to be unveiled at the 2022 Monterey Car Week.

9 Audi S1 E-Tron Quattro Hoonitron

The new Ken Block Audi S1 E-Tron Quattro Hoonitron draws inspiration from the 1985 Sport Quattro S1, which drove Walter Röhrl to victory at the 1987 Pikes Peak Hillclimb, in a record-setting time of 10 minutes and 48 seconds. The S1 E-Tron Quattro Hoonitron features cutting-edge comfort and safety technology, two electric motors, and a carbon-fiber chassis.

The Hoonitron’s massive fenders on both ends, turbo-style wheels and lower-to-the-ground design can't be ignored by rally car enthusiasts. For now, Audi hasn't released powertrain and battery specs, but you can be sure they will be nothing short of impressive.

8 Bentley Mulliner Batur

Bentley is set to unveil the Mulliner Batur at the 2022 Monterey Car Week, and it is perhaps the most powerful grand tourer yet by the English luxury automaker. The new Mulliner Batur is hand-built and comes with Bentley's iconic W12 engine.

Bentley hasn't confirmed if the special grand tourer will be a limited-run car just like the Bacalar, but we know it offers endless possibilities for personalization. New features of the Bentley Mulliner Batur include low-CO2 leather, natural fiber composites, and 3D-printed 18-karat gold.

7 DeLorean Alpha5

The new DeLorean is inspired by the iconic DMC-12, with a swoopy roofline that brings back memories of the Back to the Future trilogy. It features massive gullwing doors that take on a modern look and allows easy access to the rear seats.

Almost all controls are embedded into the touchscreen situated on a floating center console. For now, the exact details of the drivetrain remain a mystery, but we know the Alpha5 zooms to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and reaches 150 mph before losing its breath.

6 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato

The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato concept was first announced in 2019, with rumors of a potential production version. The Sterrato is a rally-focused off-road supercar that is based on the 640-horsepower Huracan Evo AWD.

The Sterrato is fitted with roof rails and possesses a generous ground clearance for tackling bumpy terrain. The go-anywhere supercar comes with side air intakes and a toughened-up suspension. Rally racecar drivers will be impressed with bulging fender flares that are wrapped around gravel-grabbing, off-road tires.

5 Lucid Air Stealth Edition

The Lucid Air electric sedan is getting a new Stealth Look package with a dark finish. It will be unveiled during the 2022 Monterey Car Week but will be available for purchase in the first quarter of next year, with an additional $6,000 price tag.

The new Stealth package is optional for the Touring, Grand Touring, and Grand Touring Performance version of the Lucid Air. If you want a brighter finish, the Stealth Look pack is also available in Zenith Red, Quantum Grey, Stellar White, and Cosmos Silver.

4 SSC Tuatara Striker

The SSC Tuatara is one of the fastest production cars in the world, with a top speed of 282.9 mph, and now the track-only version known as the Striker, which was first unveiled in May 2021 will be showcased at the Pebble Beach. The SSC Tuatara Striker will produce up to 1,750 horsepower from a twin-turbo 5.9-liter V8.

At speeds beyond 160 mph, the Striker has almost triple the downforce of the standard SSC Tuatara, largely due to its massive rear wing, front splitter, and modified diffuser.

The Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster is one of the coolest cars to grace The Quail during the 2022 Monterey Car Week. The American tuning house projects that the Venom F5 Roadster will make up to 1,817 horsepower and top out at 300 mph.

The outside and inside come with a few improvements, but the powertrain remains the same for the 2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II. The luxury carmaker illuminates the Pantheon grille and introduces a new set of 3D, stainless steel wheels.
