There are many personalities featured on reality TV professing to know a lot about cars and motorcycles. Truthfully, there are probably a lot of fakes out there standing in front of the camera, claiming to know all there is about the automotive industry when in reality, all it means is a paycheck and a spot on TV for them. Harsh but true, friends.

And we that dedicate our lives and free time to the study of the automobile and other vehicles can spot a fake from a mile away, can’t we? But by the same token, we can spot the genuine article just as easily. And with many major networks running a lot of shows that revolve around the almighty engine and everything that goes with it, we’ve seen our fair share of fakes and genuine aficionados in our time.

Guys like Jay Leno, Matt LeBlanc, and other actors and comedians like them that made the switch from comedy TV to reality TV are easily spotted as genuine gearheads. It’s the look they have when they see a rare car or get a chance to ride around in. Can you say: “Kid in a candy store?”

And of course, we can’t talk about TV and event personalities without bringing up that gorgeous and car-savvy commentator, Cristy Lee. She has had a history as a dancer, cheerleader, radio personality, and MC. But what drives her, and what has driven her since she was young, is the sound of a perfect engine at top speeds. She has been involved in many projects centering around cars and bikes and has even hosted Barrett Jackson events. This lady knows her vehicles and we’ve compiled a list of cars and bikes she’d love to devote some wrench time to (as well as a drive) and others that she wouldn’t give the time of day to if it was the last car on earth.

So sit back and enjoy these pictures of her favorite cars and bikes we’ve compiled for you and ones she couldn't care less about.

20 FAVORITE - KAWASAKI MOTORCYCLES

VIA The Sun Herald

Bikes have been important to her since she was very young, and although it's difficult to look for a bike that she doesn't like (as there are none on this list) there are some she favors more than others. She can often be seen on her other current Velocity Network show, All Girls Garage, fixing up and working on a plethora of motorcycles, and one of her favored bikes of choice is, no doubt, the Kawasaki. She loves this brand and owns many different models and has been pictured with many more over the years she's spent at car shows and promotions. Stay tuned for even more of her favorite bikes in this article.

19 FAVORITE - DODGE CHARGER

VIA Pinterest

Cristy Lee has been photographed with many cars and the many Chargers she's been pictured with are quite numerous. And she has professed her love for this vehicle time and time again and honestly, what's not to love? The Dodge Charger is a quality vehicle, a true gearhead's ideal muscle car, so Cristy isn't alone in her love for the vehicle in question, and it validates her among other motorheads, we're quite sure. She started tinkering in her father's garage when she was just a young child, and her knowledge about cars started to set in way back then.

18 FAVORITE - FORD MUSTANG

VIA Pinterest

How could you be an aficionado of cars and bikes and not like the Ford Mustang? The car has won over many fans, even gearheads that are not fans of the Ford Motor Company. Even they can see that Ford came out a winner with that car, especially models from the 1960s, 70s, and in the early years of this millennium. This is also a car that she has been featured with on her many Velocity shows. She has appeared in four different shows for the network and is currently still on two, as well as one on the Discovery network, Barrett Jackson Live.

17 FAVORITE - CADILLAC CTS-V

VIA Jerilynn Cadillac/YOUTUBE

The world, especially those in automotive circles, is very excited about the new 2019 Cadillac CTS-V, as buzz online is definitely hot right now and the specs are definitely something to take a look at. And we're sure that Cristy is very excited about this car, as well, because she has been a fan of the model for a couple of years now. The 2018 model year seemed to put the company back on the map again, in terms of quality, of course. For years, Cadillac has been relying heavily on the success of previous models, but with the advent of the CTS-V, the name Cadillac sure means something once again, and Cristy couldn't agree more, it seems.

16 FAVORITE - DODGE CHALLENGER HELLCAT

VIA Cristy LeeVerified account @CristyLee09/TWITTER

And if you're a fan of the Dodge Charger, then the Challenger is never all that far behind. It is a muscle car that can definitely be considered the car of cars among the ranks of others like it—particularly the aforementioned Charger and Mustang, as well as the Chevelle and Firebird. Interestingly enough, this vehicle actually shares an engine with the Jeep Grand Cherokee (another favorite of Cristy's), as well as the Charger Hellcat from Dodge. It's a 6.2-liter Hemi engine and produces 707 hp. Now if that doesn't impress you, we don't know what will. Makes you have a little more respect for the Grand Cherokee though, doesn't it?

15 FAVORITE - MOTOCROSS BIKES

VIA Torqued Magazine

Most people overlook motocross bikes and prefer to concentrate on street bikes or speed bikes, but not Cristy. In fact, they were her first favorite type of motorbike and her love for them has only gotten stronger over the years since she first laid eyes on them. Furthermore she spent years covering AMA racing as a pit reporter and she was able to get close to the racers, but more importantly, the many bikes that were raced out on the muddy track. In all honesty, we're continuously puzzled as to why motocross racing isn't more popular than it is. What more could people want? Excellent machines, competition, and the cool fact that these dudes and gals are racing on mud hills!

14 FAVORITE - 1968 SHELBY GT500

VIA VIA Cristy LeeVerified account @CristyLee09/TWITTER

When you spend your time around cars as much as this gal does, there's no doubt that you start to become synonymous with the vehicles you showcase. So there's no wonder that she was the perfect spokeswoman for many car companies over the years. She has been a prominent spokeswoman for such companies as Kawasaki Motors, Dodge, Ford Performance, Triumph Motorcycles, Pirelli Tires, and Toyota. These companies sure benefited from her expertise and the exposure she garnered them, and we're sure she's available to be featured in even more campaigns should some other companies be in need of the perfect spokeswoman.

13 FAVORITE - 1971 MERCEDES BENZ

VIA VIA Cristy LeeVerified account @CristyLee09/TWITTER

Sometimes, a car's owner surpasses the impressiveness that is the car—sometimes. In this case, we'd have to definitely say that that was definitely the case when Cristy filmed and reported about this car for Velocity and Discovery while at Barrett Jackson. Now, all Mercedes vehicles are probably favored more than most luxury cars, or at least they should be, but this model from 1971 is particularly special. An epic car indeed, but the previous owner definitely outshines it. Who was the previous owner, you ask? Well, none other than the King of Rock and Roll himself, the late, great Elvis Presley. Even Cristy was impressed, and not only by the car.

12 FAVORITE - TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLES

VIA Pinterest

The Triumph brand of motorcycles is one of the most respected of all motorcycle brands and names. After the original company went defunct, it was taken up by Bloor Holdings Limited and still releases bikes like the one pictured here. There are many motorcycle aficionados that prefer Triumph bikes even to Harley Davidson cycles, and as strange as that may seem, it is definitely a staggering number of people. The fact that Cristy has an appreciation for them shows how deep her knowledge of motorcycles goes.

11 FAVORITE - OLDSMOBILE 442

VIA JOLYGRAM

This one always reminds me of the old action-science fiction film from the early 1990s, Demolition Man. In the film, Sylvester Stallone is unleashed on a future society after being frozen for a crime he didn't commit. In this future, the cars have changed and society has become but a mere mockery of what it once was. There's an impeccable scene when the main character, played by Sly, goes underground, accompanied by Sandra Bullock's character, and they uncover an Oldsmobile 442 (Cherry Red), and Bullock's character is more excited than Stallone's character at the discovery. No doubt, Cristy gets equally excited at seeing a car such as this at a show. We know we would be.

10 LEAST FAVORITE - CHEVROLET SS

VIA autonationdrive.com

Ask yourselves one question, particularly those of you who were upset at the mention of this car on the negative side of this list. Why on earth would Cristy Lee, with all her vehicular knowledge and know-how, all her experience with cars, from reporting about them to working on them, why, for the love of all that is good, would she appreciate one of the worst-selling cars of the last few years? The SS, pictured here, is one of the worst cars, in terms of sales, for Chevrolet. And according to reports, it may be the cause for some serious peril for the company because of the gap between units produced and units sold. I think we've bashed the car enough, but we hope we proved our point that Cristy would probably pass this car by even if it was the last car on earth.

9 LEAST FAVORITE - LATER PONTIAC MODELS

VIA Wikipedia

Despite the fact that she is a known fan of the GTO, as well as the Firebird, her love of Pontiac, no doubt, stops there. In fact, there are many car enthusiasts that lost their love for anything Pontiac soon after the eighties were well under way. The company hit a downward spiral and their imminent demise was inevitable after they started releasing cars like the Sunfire, Wave, G6, and Pursuit. Gone were the days of cars that inspired and outshone the competition. A woman of her knowledge, no doubt, saw through the garbage that the company was putting out at the end.

8 LEAST FAVORITE - FIAT

VIA Car and Driver

Needless to say, Fiat severely disappointed a lot of consumers when they imported the 500 (as well as other models) to the US over the last decade. The cars are, essentially, not living up to their hype from overseas. (The truth: the roads, climates, and drivers aren't at all the same as they are overseas.) Although complete with high volumes of traffic, European roads still don't compare to the tumultuous drives that the cities and their people have to contend with. At the same time, the Fiats don't drive all that well, so it comes as no surprise that enthusiasts like Cristy aren't all that impressed with the car company and its vehicles.

7 LEAST FAVORITE - PRIUS

VIA Toyota of Seattle

Well, the Prius may very well be the ideal family vehicle but it doesn't really get those gearhead juices to flow, now does it? There's really nothing to get excited about when it comes to a car like this and although Cristy was a spokeswoman for Toyota at one time, we're sure even she would have nothing to say about this car in terms of a positive sort of feedback. And if she gives us a polite: "No comment," all we'd have to do is look at her eyes and we'd know in a heartbeat what she really thinks about the car.

6 LEAST FAVORITE - BMW 5-SERIES

via Wikipedia

Although there are indeed some pretty interesting BMW models out there, a lot of the BMWs on the market are not really favored by some, often being referred to as boxy rides in general, particularly among fans of muscle cars like Mustangs, Chargers and Firebirds. And Cristy, being a definite fan of muscle cars, doesn't seem to have much of an appreciation for some of these simpler models like the one pictured here. And hey, they do have some pretty cool models and we're sure Cristy would agree. We wouldn't dare negate that. But we will remind you that a car is more than just the mechanics, and their entire body of work doesn't really showcase great style.

5 LEAST FAVORITE - HYUNDAI ELANTRA

VIA CarGurus

And so continues our list of boring cars that Cristy Lee, no doubt, could take or leave. For someone like her, who has spent the greater part of her life around engines (and good ones at that), there's no way she could get excited over a car like this. She spent countless hours in her father's shop when she was younger and got her hands on her first motorcycle when she was 18. A person like that, who was exposed to great machines, will never get excited about an Elantra, of all things, believe us.

4 LEAST FAVORITE - SILVERADO

VIA autoTRADER.ca

Cristy seems to be more of a fan of the renowned F-Series of trucks made by the Ford Motor Company, and why on Earth wouldn't she be? The F-150 alone is an impressive vehicle and all of the trucks that follow along in that line were definitely built for toughness. You cannot replace the F-Series with any other truck on the market and that's the bottom line, as Stone Cold Steve Austin would say. And there's one thing that's fact in the automotive world: you'll never convince a fan of the F-Series that Silverados (or any of the other GM trucks) are better than the F-Series!

3 LEAST FAVORITE - GMC YUKON

VIA media.gmc.com

Now, seeing that Cristy is a fan of Jeep models and was a spokeswoman for the company, there is no way that you could convince her that these lines of SUVs and trucks under the GMC brand, such as the Yukon, are any better than Jeep. After all, the Grand Cherokee can be had with the same engine as the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, for crying out loud! How can you beat that? Simply put, you can't. These vehicles represent the sub-par portion of the automotive industry, where they are fine for run-of-the-mill driving, but fall short in performance and durability time and time again.

2 LEAST FAVORITE - MINI COOPER

via Car and Driver

Although the car is all the rage among certain circles, this doesn't really seem like the type of car Cristy would get on board with. I mean, do you really see her standing somewhere on the grounds at Barrett Jackson, holding a microphone and going on and on about this car, of all models? I mean, the car had a buzz surrounding it at the turn of the century, but as of late, the car isn't all that sought-after, as it certainly has fallen deeply out of favor. And this is understandable, as there really wasn't all that much power under the hood and all that was present under the hood seemed to get lost from pedal to motor or somewhere along the way.

1 LEAST FAVORITE - KIA BRAND

VIA commons.wikimedia.org

The Kia brand has been pushing out car after car, and although they are considerably better than what Pontiac was putting out at the end, they are still considered to be below par when it comes to the opinion of car aficionados like Lee. Their SUVs are probably a tad better than their cars, depending on model years of course, but still, there doesn't seem to be that level of consumer appreciation attached to the product. However, their new Stinger has accumulated some positive attention, many have high hopes for the car and we would love to get Cristy's opinion on all the buzz surrounding Kia's new release.
