If you like Broncos, Jeeps, or Vintage Blazers that is pretty cool, but common. However, if you want to be unique and not part of the crowd, the 1979 International Harvester Scout II is definitely the way to go.

If you don't mind denting your wallet, this cool ride goes for a starting price of $299,000. You could choose to either get this or go for the McLaren 720S. The International Harvester Scout II is being displayed by Velocity Restoration of Pensacola. This is the latest off-road project done by Velocity. This car is ready for sale to anyone willing to give it a home. This ride took the creative mechanics at Velocity 1,500 hours to restore it bringing it back to its former glory.

The Scout II was found abandoned in an oil field in Texas rotting away. The Velocity Restoration team stripped it and started restoring it from the frame working their way in. With brand new upholstery and an improved powertrain, this orange ride could not look better.

The Scout now runs on an upgraded LS3 6.2-liter V-8 engine that produces 430 horsepower and 424-pound-feet of torque, and automatic four-speed transmission.

Velocity Restoration did not just give this car a powerful engine, they also worked on the looks. It has an upfront custom grille, brand new LED headlights, customize bumpers, custom nine-inch rear axle, six-inch suspension lift, custom Wilwood disc brakes, stainless steel fuel tank and off-road Nitto Trail tires.

Inside, Velocity Restoration set up the interior with beautiful black vinyl, custom dash, modern digital gauges, a modern stereo system with Bluetooth support, the A/C and heating system is still vintage but with better wiring. The Scout II also comes with a strong fitted powder coated roll bar.

If you are the ultimate outdoors person, then the International Harvester Scout II will never let you down. If supercars aren't your thing, but you have the cash, check out the Scout II and take for an off-road spin and show them who is boss.
