Having originally started in England, Royal Enfield, which is now an Indian multinational motorcycle company, claims its 120 years in the motorcycle business is the oldest any global motorcycle brand has spent in continuous production. Royal Enfield products are in great demand also, as the company produces highly sought-after bikes for a diverse spectrum of enthusiasts all over the world. For context, its current catalog of amazing bikes includes the Meteor, Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Signals 350, and the likes.

Also, another awesome bike in its current catalog is the Himalayan. Introduced in 2016, Himalayan was conceived by the then CEO Siddhartha Lal, and it was Royal Enfield’s first foray into the production of adventure touring motorcycles. The Himalayan is unbelievably affordable, and it can be easily customized in either low or high price ranges. Therefore, several talented tuning shops have leveraged these attributes to produce insanely modified examples of the Himalayan, but these shops have the most creative examples we’ve seen.

Based in Bilthoven, Netherlands, Wrench Kings transformed this Himalayan into an amazing piece that asserts the custom shop’s mantra, “building dreams.” The mod retained stock Himalayan 411 cc air-cooled SOHC single-cylinder engine with its 24 horses output.

But it’s the exterior featuring grilled side panels with projector-style headlights that intrigue the most, and it was built in collaboration with Ulfert Janssen of Gannet Design. The mod was also fitted with a tan leather saddle and covered up in a color mix of gray base garnished with gold mesh trimmings.

With about 20 years of his life devoted to building bikes, German engineer Tom Thöring has become a mini authority at producing classic bikes with low weight and great performance. Through his tuning company called Schlachtwerk, Thöring partnered with Royal Enfield Australia and New Zealand to customize this 2020 Himalayan.

The "doomsday" theme has never been more gorgeous than it is on this bike called the “Lone Wolf Project,” a custom-built 2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan commissioned by owner Danny Aparis to Iron Macchina Customs. As requested by Aparis, and the bike also features creatively adorned extras such as Jerrycan, utility axe, storage capsule, and the likes.

A lot is happening on this bike, yet it retained its Himalayan architecture. For a gorgeous gothic finish, it was covered up in a smooth mix of textured black powder coat with semi-gloss and satin black paint.

Sometimes you just want to take a break from conventional duties and show the world the possible extent of your creative might as the master fabricator that you are. That could be the point Royal Enfield was trying to drive home by building this custom Himalayan called the MJR Roach.

We thought we’ve seen it all, then we came across this mean-looking Himalayan built by an Indian-based custom shop known as Grid7 Customs. It was finished exquisitely in green and black, with one of its main highlights being a performance exhaust system that originates from the engine underneath the bike through double-barrel pipes that ends right under the tail lamp.

Of course, there’s still a lot more awesomeness latent in this bike courtesy of the mod, but we aren’t certain if the powerplant was altered.

“Fuel Motorcycles” seem like an unusual name for a tuning company, but it’s appropriate since it’s an unusual tuning company. The Barcelona-based shop has a thing for building unconventional motorcycles, while it also produces awesome riding accessories and other merchandises.

Fuel built this Himalayan for its Scram Africa riding event, and it was campaigned by the company’s founder Karles Vives. While it retained the stock powertrain, it added cool features like knuckle guards, windscreen, raised front mudguard, among others, while it was as well finished in an attractive white, red, and black color scheme.

The stock Royal Enfield Himalayan isn’t the most powerful bike out there, nonetheless, it possesses just about enough power to scale most hurdles thrown at it by challenging terrains. However, another Indian-based tuning shop called Team MRCE Workshop built this Royal Enfield Himalayan with heightened off-road prowess.

Called the SG-411, this Himalayan modification was commissioned by Royal Enfield’s UK branch to Bali’s finest, Smoked Garage. According to Smoked Garage’s Nicko Eigert, a modern look was a top priority for Royal Enfield for this build, yet it mustn’t compromise functionality, meaning the Himalayan’s qualities had to be retained.

Hence, inspired by Royal Enfield’s military heritage, Smoked gave the motorcycle a “stealth fighter” aesthetic. Asides from that, the SG-411’s suspension was replaced by a 43mm Showa USD variant, while the monoshock was also upgraded to an up-spec Öhlins unit.
