De Tomaso is being revived by the same guys responsible for making the mad-looking Apollo Intense Emozione. So, you can expect nothing but the absolute best when it comes to the development of the much-anticipated P72 Supercar. We were already blown away by the beautiful design language of De Tomaso's revival machine when it was showcased in 2019.

Interestingly, De Tomaso was known for its collaborative efforts, was before it went bankrupt in 2004. The iconic De Tomaso Pantera was a European dream that flaunted American lines and Ford's muscle. This was all the work of Alejandro de Tomaso, an Argentinian, who wanted to build intense sports cars. The collaborative spirit is still in the automaker's roots! De Tomaso joined hands with German motorsport magicians Capricorn Group. And the P72 is being built at an all-new co-branded facility at the Nürburgring.

How cool would it be to just take your car through the backyard for testing? And how cool(er) would it be if that backyard is the Nürburgring itself! This joint effort has already sowed its seeds, with the P72 supercar getting a redesigned chassis and an all-new suspension geometry. The aerodynamic efficiency is also being tested and improved at Toyota's famed Gazoo Racing Europe wind tunnel. Don't worry, De Tomaso has vowed not to fiddle with its gorgeous design language.

De Tomaso in collaboration with Motorsports Genius Capricorn Group will build the P72 Supercar at a state-of-the-art facility with the Nürburgring in its backyard.

Also, Capricorn Group has designed an all-new suspension system for the P72 supercar. The main purpose is to improve safety and lower the supercar's center of gravity. Other changes also include improvement of interior space and a rigid structure, thanks to the redesigned chassis.

The P72 looks downright gorgeous and we, like all of you, would be shattered if De Tomaso and Capricorn Group plan on changing the exterior design for aerodynamic efficiency. They know it very well, which is why the P72 will not get any major exterior design modifications. Instead, the team is focusing on the underside of the car to tweak and improve on aero, as much as possible. So, don't worry about ugly splitters and big wings ruining Joywn Wong's beautiful work of art.
