Established in 2020 in Vienna, Austria, Deus Automobiles distinguishes itself in the crowded hypercar market with its own take on elegance, speed, and luxury. At the 2022 New York Auto Show, Deus introduced the world to the electric Vayanne hypercar. Vayanne's development began courtesy of a collaboration between Deus and Italdesign, the Giorgetto Giugiaro-founded design studio, and Williams Advanced Engineering, a spinoff of the namesake Formula 1 team.

The ageless aesthetic of the Vayanne is inspired by the Austrian capital, Vienna, and its architectural principles of harmony and infinity. The dynamic grilles up front and at the back are two examples of the dominant strong design characteristics that compliment the sleek silhouette. The Vayanne was first conceptualized in 2020 with the aim of producing an aesthetically pleasing and functional electric hypercar.

Deus's commitment to excellence is sharpened by the experience and expertise of Italdesign and the innovative technologies developed by Williams Advanced Engineering. Specifically, Italdesign can provide Deus Automobiles the assistance it needs to realize its vision thanks to the company's 50 years of experience in the field of designing pre-series and limited and ultra-limited production cars out of its Torino, Italy headquarters.

The Vayanne Was Born With Performance In Mind, But Also With ConvenienceDeus Vayanne

To back up its claim that the Vayanne is a production-oriented concept, Deus provides some rather insane performance figures. Deus says the Vayanne will generate 2,200 horsepower and 1,475 pound-feet of torque. We'd have to admit that it sounds very remarkable. To say it's spectacular would be an understatement. However, the company did not specify the number of electric motors and other details. According to Deus, the Vayanne will be able to reach 62 mph in less than 1.99 seconds and a peak speed of 248 mph.

The thorough aerodynamic analysis demonstrates the Vayanne can live up to its power and comfort claims. All the Vayanne's design choices were made with high performance in mind without sacrificing the vehicle’s signature grace and allure. Each driver has their own unique taste in exhaust noise, and that's why the DEUS Active Sound system lets them customize the external sound producers to their liking. You may adjust the volume and choose from a number of different sound profiles designed to simulate the experience of driving an electric hypercar.

The front and rear grilles, which the company claims were inspired by an infinite loop, are an attractive aesthetic element. Deus Vayanne has the proportions of a classic mid-engined hypercar and is adorned with a bevy of scoops and ducts. You can see thin headlamps up front, and the windshield has a sharp angle that flows into the roof. What's more, Vayanne's debut color scheme, white and black, represents the harmony of cleanliness, opulence, and attractive appearance.

The Interior Of The Vayanne Is Adorned With Halo Infinity Mirror

Deus Vayanne's interior exudes a sophisticated air. To start with, the command interface methods are well-thought-out, practical, and pleasurable. The digital and analog controls are conveniently placed for the driver. Deus is the first automaker to install the Halo Infinity Mirror on every interior surface. With the Halo Infinity Mirror, you can bring the feeling of infinite space indoors.

It was developed with the help of Italdesign exclusively for the Vayanne and future Deus models to emphasize the one-of-a-kind nature of the vehicle and Deus' determination to redefine luxury in the electric hypercar market. It encompasses the whole cabin, from doors to dashboard. The effect is different depending on the observer's position. This was done on purpose to show that everyone sees things differently.

Inside, Deus claims that sustainable, technologically sophisticated methods were used to treat the natural leather, but they don't go into much detail. We do know they designed the upholstery using cutting-edge, waste-free methods that minimize environmental impact. Vayanne's eco-friendly interior complements perfectly its all-electric heart.

The Austrian-based Deus may not be a household brand in the U.S., but the Vayanne is another proof that the automobile industry is transitioning to electric vehicles. If you're looking for a luxurious electric hypercar, go no further than the Deus Vayanne. The automobile is a great example of the hypercar class as a whole, with its combination of high performance and practicality (thanks to its 4.7-inch ground clearance and sufficient storage capacity). Deus claims that it will be practical for everyday use thanks to its comfortable ride, adequate ground clearance, and storage. When the manufacturing version of the hypercar finally comes in 2025, just 99 units will be available to customers.

As already stated, the Vayanne is a luxury electric hypercar concept developed jointly by Deus, Italdesign, and Williams Advanced Engineering, with an eye toward mass production. Most importantly, it is a product of a three-way partnership between ideas and dedication that set out to make the first electric hypercar with more than 2,200 horsepower!
