With carmakers focusing more and more on electrification of their lineups, we are gradually moving towards the end of the ‘ICE age’. Due to this shift towards a greener and cleaner future, we are slowly bidding farewell to some of the iconic cars, which are not ready to embrace this shift. Two such cars are the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger, which have been instrumental as the flag bearer of quintessential American performance cars in all these years.

Dodge has announced that the Charger and Challenger will not be in continuous production after 2023, as the American carmaker plans to focus more on electric cars and SUVs. The fate of these two iconic American muscle cars is sealed now, though Dodge is offering one last chance to ensure that the end of these two cars is as remarkable as they have been in all these years. And this end is aptly named ‘Last Call’. So, what plans does Dodge has for this ‘last call’ to people to head to Dodge showrooms and get a Charger or a Challenger for themselves? We take a look at it.

To ensure that every 2023 model of Charger and Challenger feels like a collector’s item, Dodge will bestow all those cars with a special commemorative ‘Last Call’ underhood plaque.

Made of brushed aluminum, this special plaque will get the respective vehicle’s name and silhouette embossed on it. It will also feature taglines like ‘Designed in Auburn Hills’ and ‘Assembled in Brampton’ to mark the origin of the two cars. For the 2023 models of Charger and Challenger coming equipped with these ‘Last Call’ plaques, Dodge will be adopting a new delivery method to its customers. All units of the 2023 model Charger and Challenger will get allocated to the Dodge dealers at once.

To all the customers, Dodge will be providing a guide, which will help them identify the name and location of the dealer, which will have their desired model of Charger and Challenger in their allocation. This guide will be available on the official website of Dodge Garage, which also has Dodge’s roadmap for the next 24 months under their ‘Never Lift Plan’ on display. Here, people can also get a 48-hour heads-up before the next garage door pops up, unveiling Dodge’s next move. Even the revival of Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat and the all-new Dodge Hornet SUVs got announced here.

With this move, Dodge plans to have an easier way of identifying the customers and delivering cars to them. Dodge will reveal more details about the ordering process and pricing of the 2023 Charger and Challenger at a further date closer to when they will go on sale.

The 2023 iterations of the Dodge Charger and Challenger are the last model years for these two American muscle cars. As a sign of tribute to their glorious history, Dodge will introduce seven different models for the 2023 model year of the Charger and Challenger.

During the first day of the Dodge Speed Week event at M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan, Dodge kept these models under full covers, thus raising even more anticipation. These covers had cryptic graphics depicting a connection to Dodge muscle cars from the 1960s and 1970s. This move will guarantee a sense of nostalgia and old-school appeal, especially among those who have seen these cars grow and evolve in all these years.

The seventh model will be unveiled at the 2022 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas between November 1-4, 2022. Only the top-selling Dodge dealers will get the allocation of these exclusive models of Charger and Challenger, where they will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.

For those who want to experience the ownership of a one-of-a-kind muscle car, Dodge introduced SRT Jailbreak models for the Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody.
