The Ford Bronco Raptor has certainly caused a stir following its recent launch, it's only natural as it has been long awaited. However, the Bronco Raptor has led many to think what if their rivals brought something out that could take it on. Digital car renderer Oscar Vargas has created this rendering of a Dodge Charger TRX off-roader that might have the potential to take on Ford’s long-awaited performance off-roader.

A Very Unusual Creation

This is quite an unusual creation. Of course, we know the TRX as the RAM range of performance trucks bearing the name. This though would make use of the Dodge Charger to create, in effect, an off-road muscle truck. The grille shape and general fascia of the Charger is still visible, but below that is now a guard plate as you would see on the RAM TRX, and the front bumper is much, much beefier looking than on the standard muscle car. The front of the car is now less aerodynamically driven than it would be on the conventional muscle car.

Looking Across The Rest Of The Truck

Other parts to note are the vastly altered wheel arches that this creation has. The arches sit higher than on the standard Charger and have a lot more space in them. While the tires and wheels are not particularly big, that extra space will be rather vital to accommodate the extra suspension travel that the new truck design will have. The whole front section of the car does look much more like something you would expect from RAM. The rest of the car, though, still retains a lot of the original lines of the muscle car version of the Charger.

A Similar Looking Body

Overall, the body design of the Charger TRX is very similar to the original muscle car. The main body side features the bulge and lines through the doors, while the back-end still has a rear lip spoiler. The wheel arches at the back follow the same design as at the front, with a lot more space to accommodate the suspension travel. On the very rear quarter-panel of the truck, we can see a TRX logo, to help signify that this is a very different kind of Charger. It is a unique design, and it's interesting to ponder what the performance potential might be.
