When it comes to the great world of drag racing, there are fewer automakers with a revered history like Dodge. From the RAMCHARGERS drag team that formed during the '60s, to the NHRA championship-winning Dodge Challenger Drag Pak introduced in the mid-'00s, Dodge continues to be at the forefront of drag racing culture.

Making it easy for even the most cursory of drag racing enthusiasts through their multiple performance-orientated production cars like the Scat Pack, SRT Super Stock, Hellcat, and Hellcat Redeye, Dodge has all their fans covered. However, none are more outlandish than the ultra-limited Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.

Introduced in 2017, the 808-hp behemoth blurs the line between street-legal production vehicles and terror-inducing drag machines. So when the aptly named YouTube channel, Drag Racing and Car Stuff, found themselves at the local track, they couldn't help but document the Dodge Demon obliterating multiple cars in a few short minutes.

Sending Challengers Down The Highway To Hell

First up on the chopping block is a fellow Stellantis sibling: the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Although the Trackhawk sports a beefy 707 horsepower, the Demon makes light work of the bulky SUV by clearing the finish line nearly 1.5 seconds quicker than the Jeep.

Next on the Demon's hitlist appears to be a second-gen Cadillac CTS-V. From the first inkling, the badass burnout from the blacked-out Caddy appeared to be a worthy competitor. Although clocking in nearly 500 pounds less than the Demon and sporting a supercharged LS9 engine, the near-600 horsepower was nowhere near enough as the Caddy finished multiple car lengths behind the Demon.

Granted, the first two competitors appeared to be casual fans that threw the name in the ring on race day, but the third and final challenger (pun intended) of the day seemed sure to dethrone the Demon. At first glance, the maroon Hellcat appeared to have the win in the bag after realizing the car is sitting on staggered slicks. Not only that but the parachute attached to the rear of the car gave another clue to its performance.

Unfortunately for the Hellcat, this day belonged to the Demon as it bolted down the track in a staggering 8.4 seconds. Appearing to fall asleep at the wheel, the Hellcat saw nothing but tail lights after an abysmal start. However, to give some credit, they still posted an otherwise lightning-quick time of 8.9 seconds.
