Dodge is no longer making the Challenger Hellcat with a manual transmission. The Tremec 6-speed transmission is not available for the 2022 model year. Road & Track picked up on this temporary measure, and that production of Challenger Hellcats with manual transmissions came to a halt in November 2021. Dodge is planning to bring the manual transmission back for the Challenger Hellcat in the future after revised calibrations. But for now, the Challenger Hellcat will only come with an 8-speed automatic.

The Challenger Hellcat is no longer available with a manual transmission. But a stick shift is still available on other trim levels of the 2022 Dodge Challenger. You can no longer buy a 6.2-liter Challenger Hellcat with a manual transmission. But a stick shift is still available on the Challenger R/T models with the 5.7-liter V-8, as well as Scat Packs with the 6.2-liter V-8. A manual transmission is also still available on the SRT Super Stock version of the Challenger as well.

The loss of the manual transmission in the Challenge Hellcat comes as no great surprise, as other automakers have been doing away with manuals in recent years. But Dodge does plan to bring the manual transmission back to the Challenger Hellcat at some point in the future.
