Dodge is giving power to the people with the Power Dollars incentive.

For the past few decades, Dodge has been the beating heart of the American car-buying public. Americans want big, powerful, V8-powered cars, and Dodge delivers. To hell with fuel mileage and climate change--just give us those big hunks of American muscle.

And now Dodge is making it easier than ever to get behind their biggest and most powerful engines by giving everyone $10 off the sticker price per horsepower that engine produces. The more powerful the car, the bigger the discount.

So let’s do some math. The current most powerful Dodge, the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye, has a 6.2-L supercharged HEMI V8 engine that produces 797 horsepower. At 10 bucks per horse, that’s a discount of $7,970. The Redeye had a starting price of just over $70,000, but after the discount that brings it down to $‭62,275 not including taxes and fees.

How about the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat? That same 6.2-L HEMI V8 makes 707 horsepower in the Charger, which means a discount of $7,070. That brings the take home price down to $58,725 before destination and tax.

Not into cars? SUVs more your jam? The Dodge Durango SRT has a 6.4-L HEMI V8 with 475 horsepower, which means a discount of $4,750. A starting price of $63,245 means a discounted price of $58,495‬ before taxes and fees.

And this discount isn’t just limited to the high horsepower models, although you naturally get a bigger discount the higher up you go. Even the cheaper, less powerful Challengers, Chargers, and Durangos are all given a discount equal to ten times their horsepower output, so it’s never been easier to get behind the wheel of a base-model vehicle.

“Since bringing the Charger and Challenger back to market, Dodge has put 485 million horsepower into the hands of our loyal enthusiasts,” said Dodge head North America Tim Kuniskis. “Dodge has more horsepower than anyone else, and we want to share it and give those who have always wanted more the ability to get more. The goal is to grow to a half-billion horsepower before the end of the year. This is what we believe John and Horace Dodge would want us to do.”

So if you want a 2019 Dodge, now’s the time to get one.
