Dodge is teasing “something big” and we’re pretty sure we know what it is.

Okay, so we get that teasers don’t really try to hide what they’re teasing all that much anymore, but c’mon Dodge. At least try to make it a mystery.

The latest video from Dodge showcases what is very obviously a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat underneath a tarp. The image above is the exact second before the video cuts to black to promise “coming soon,” and we can easily see the side panel indentation and front fascia that clearly denotes the Charger Hellcat.

And we’re pretty sure we know specifically what new kind of Charger this is. We’ve seen several prototypes of the upcoming Charger Widebody running around in Michigan, and this car looks exactly like the one teased in the video. If anything, the side air intakes on the real car seem to be even larger than on the test mule.

So we’re sure we’re in for a Charger Widebody reveal in the very near future. What we’re not sure is just what that entails.

A report from last May indicated that the Charger Widebody will essentially mirror the Challenger Widebody options, including the Challenger Redeye Widebody and Hellcat Widebody. That means 797 horsepower from a supercharged 6.2-L HEMI V8 or a slightly less powerful 717 horsepower from the same engine.

We were also promised wider fender flares, a dual-snorkel grille, a new spoiler, and larger vents. Judging by what we saw in the teaser video, we should be getting all of that. If the Charger follows the Challenger, then we'll also get 305/35ZR20 Pirelli 3-season performance tires wrapping 20x11-inch aluminum rims, 3-mode Bilstein adaptive damping suspension, and 6-piston brake calipers with 15.4-inch vented rotors.

Of course, we’ll have to wait for Dodge to make an official announcement to confirm, but we imagine the wait won’t be too much longer.
