An automotive digital designer who answers to Hycade has been on YouTube for just barely a year, but already the artist has accumulated an enviable following of nearly 90,000 fans. Placing a focus on what luxury supercars and legendary muscle cars would look like in body kits, Hycade has done some pretty elaborate treatments on such rides as a cyberpunked Lamborghini Huracan, the badass Ford Mercury Mach 1, and the Corvette C8 with a widebody on par with other "Black Widow renderings. The graphic artist continues to garner more eyeballs, this time with a unique alteration of the much-loved Dodge Viper.

Dodge Ended Viper Production In 2017

Lauded as one of the most popular supercars to ever emerge from American plants, the Viper was much-loved for its lengthy body and roadster contours. But with the entire auto industry facing declining sales the past few years, Dodge ceased production on the Viper in 2017, placing its sportscar hopes on the increasingly popular Corvette Z06 instead.

At least the fifth and last generation of Vipers left the spotlight in zoom mode, thanks to a six-speed manual transmission and an 8.4-liter V10 engine delivering 645 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. All that power enabled this Dodge to hit a top speed of 206 mph and charge to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.4 seconds.

This Viper Gets More Air Intake And Downforce

It looks like Hycade wanted to exceed those capabilities with this widebody design, which still resembles the sleek roadsters that the original Viper sought to emulate. The look exaggerates the side vents a lot more than the Dodge equivalents, for starters. The front grille and the hood scoop are also a bit larger to take in more air.

At the same time, the Hycade changed the front skirting into a more pronounced front spoiler to create more downforce. The artist also doubles the side of the rear spoiler, although another design without such a wing is also under consideration for a future rendering.

In a matter of hours, this Viper received nearly 5,000 views with overwhelmingly positive reactions. "Seriously the best Dodge Viper I have ever seen," responded one viewer. "Somebody needs to give the person a contract or deal to make these kits a reality," added another.

Other comments still want to see more from Hycade, with requests for treatments of other vehicles like the 2017 Audi RS3 Sedan and the Bugatti Chiron.
