Everyone loves drag racing. It is almost in our DNA to love the spectacle of the sport, and seeing two cars going flat out down the drag strip is always a great sight. YouTube is full of plenty of drag racing videos showcasing some great races, and this one is from FourWheels TV. The footage was all captured at US 131 Motorsports Park and shows a wide variety of cars taking part in drag races and showcasing what they’ve got.

Checking Out The Drag Racing Action

We get straight into the action with the first race in the video — a Chevrolet and a Pontiac GTO going head-to-head in a sensational drag race. The two cars look incredible in their blue paint and each gets a great start off the line, but the Chevrolet holds the advantage. The Pontiac reels it in though, and while it's hard to tell from the timing screens, it looks like it won with a nearly six-second flat time. The Chevrolet looks to have done its run down the 1/4-mile in just over 6.1 seconds. So, a narrow win for the GTO.

There is plenty more great drag racing action within this video. In one of the later clips, we see a Chevrolet Camaro go head-to-head with a full-on dragster. This is certainly an interesting matchup, with the Camaro getting the hit off the line to make it a more even race. It does do a pretty fast 1/4-time in credit to it, with a time of 6.281 seconds. But the dragster as you might expect put in a faster time of just over 5.03 seconds. That is some truly astonishing speed out of the dragster.

This video is nearly ten minutes of the very best classic cars going hammer and tongues against each other. In another race, we have a bright-green Plymouth Barracuda 440 go up against a Fox body Ford Mustang. This is a fascinating race, as we see the two cars launch off the line. It is quite an even start between the two, and they are virtually neck and neck as they get to the finish line. It is very close indeed, with the Plymouth posting a 1/4-mile pass time of 6.009 seconds, while the Mustang just lost out with a time of 6.052 seconds.
