Probably everyone has their favorite Chevrolet Camaro, of all the generations from the 1st to the present day, and surely, there are many opinions on the best, with the Z/28 presumably ranking consistently high.
In any case, Personalizatuauto’s Instagram page has a new render of a second-generation Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, which gets modified to look like a bad custom muscle car for all of his viewers.
This rendering artist is prolific, and we have already covered many of his modified car concepts, with designs ranging from a widebody Chevrolet Monte Carlo to a slammed and modified Honda S2000.
Today, we check out the custom Chevy Camaro MK2 to see where the renderer takes the classic muscle car this time.
The Custom Second-Generation Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Modified For Our Pleasure
The Camaro’s pointy nose is the most noticeable thing up front, with the quad headlamps now custom units so that the inner pair of lights are black – they could even be air ducts for the engine.
Talking of air ducts, there are no other air intakes and vents, just that one, large, classic grill up front with the Z/28 badge and a big, pointy chin spoiler at the front to give this car presence.
In black, with black windows, the car looks mean at night in the render, with reflections of city lights all over the shiny paintwork and glass.
Of course, the car is very low to the ground with the wheel arches melting over the huge black rims, creating something that looks like a show car rather than an out-and-out sports car, but it could also be a drag racer.
This Chevy Camaro Custom Render Is Ready For A Drag Strip Victory
Up back, things are interesting for the rear lip spoiler which suits the car’s shape and image, plus the diffuser, rear quad lights and angular center exit finish the vintage Camaro off nicely.
It would be hard to miss the crazy rear tires, of course – they are extremely wide, with slick surfaces and look ready for a drag race down the quarter-mile.
Original Z/28s from the early 70s came with anywhere from 330-360 hp with the 5.7-liter engine under the hood, and this car looks like it would benefit from a modern eight-cylinder to provide power to its rear wheels. All this car needs is a little more space around the wheels, and it looks ready to go.
