When a YouTuber opens a video with “We’re going drifting with a couple of Dodge Vipers. Something always breaks, some drama always happens, it'll be insane, so keep on watching,” you know that you’re in for a riotous time. And these guys at YouTube channel DailyDrivenExotics really do bring it. They really know how to have fun.

Their video had us in stitches. Do you remember those days when you used to hang out with your mates doing really silly stuff? Laughing all day and just messing around enjoying their company and having crazy banter. Well, it's just like that. These guys are an absolute riot.

Watching them in action is like swallowing an energy drink in one and turning up the volume to ten on your stereo. There's a great chemistry between them, and their energy is infectious. After watching them you definitely come away wishing you’d been there at the track, drifting with them. So strap yourself in for some high-octane fun and enjoy the ride.

Pre-Track Pranks

After prepping two Dodge Vipers (an orange one and a black one) for the day’s drifting, we see three of the guys pile into a Bentley. And that’s when the mad fun starts. As they’re driving along at about 50 mph, the guy in the passenger seat flips the automatic car's gearstick into Park. The driver briskly flips it back into drive and yells “Now it’s actually confirmed that you’re a dis-respectful piece of <honk>!” Their videos employ plenty of honking noises to dub over all the expletives.

Back at the garage they pull the two Vipers out and put one on a trailer. You can see that they're all really psyched up for what they're calling ‘a day of carnage.’ Pointing to the orange Viper one of them adds, “I’m not going to lie, it's not the best road car anymore.” Then, after a couple of them pay homage to their sponsors (which is a comedy clip in itself), they get race-suited up and hit the road.

Amongst the crazy banter, one of the guys gets on his phone and calls one of their friends that's going to be joining them for the days racing. And he tells him that he’s heading to the wrong venue, and that he needs to make a two and half hour detour to join them.

Drifting The Vipers At The Track

The irony as they arrive at the track entrance is just brilliant. The first thing we see is a sign saying ‘Leave your drama outside,' which you just know isn't going to happen with these guys on-site.

The black Viper, which unbelievably has no roll-bar, is the first out on the track. “This is a bad idea!” says the driver, not realizing at this point that he’s absolutely right because in a few hours they'll be towing it home.

The camera work is pretty good, covering lots of angles of the car, as is the production quality. They film the Viper blasting around the track, burning rubber to the very apt song "A Mental Breakdown" by Sven Karlssen. The track action gets better and better as the drivers swap places and take turns at the wheel.

Buts it's when the two Vipers hit the track that the whole thing goes up a notch. "Knocked Out" by Canon is the epic song choice. And the footage of the two Vipers, which is a mix of external slow-motion and in-cabin shots, is superb. These guys may not be the best drifters, but watching them just having an absolute ball on the track, shredding tires and blasting smoke all over it, is true escapism.

They appear to be improving as they keep at it, and we get to see more sideways angles of the cars as they put in more laps. “So much is happening so quick,” mentions one. “The only way to drive this track is to keep using the handbrake and slipping the clutch. It’s definitely the ballerina of motor sports."

After some more messing around in the pits, one of the guys unscrews the radiator cap from the black Viper and smoke starts billowing out of its engine bay. Then all the comments about carnage, drama, and something breaking, come true. “It’s a little hot boys, we have a head gasket issue,” says one, while the others start laughing. One guy removes the cap and boiling water showers into the air; it looks like Old Faithful at Yellowstone.

They pour bottled water into it while it's steaming, which may not be the best thing to do with a blazing hot block that could easily crack. Then one of them cranks up the engine and jumps in the car, like a crazy schoolboy that wants to completely demolish the ride just for a laugh. It’s mental fun and great entertainment value.

Back at the garage, one of the guys starts pushing a can of White Claw onto another. “Don’t give into peer pressure kids!” he replies while halfheartedly turning it down. “I’m not drinking it, it transforms you into a bad person!” he says laughing loudly, then swallows some and punches a hole in the back of a chair. These guys are unrelentingly entertaining, and being in their presence would make every day feel like it's a bachelor party.
