Ducati announced that they have initiated two more models into the Streetfighter gang, the Streetfighter V2 and the Streetfighter V4 SP. One is a true leader, the other a loyal follower, but both bring a lot of muscle to the motorcycle industry. So, for those buyers looking to take out a little anger, Ducati has delivered two fierce new Streetfighters.

Entering The Ring With The Streetfighter V2

From a model standpoint, the Streetfighter V2 is the new entry point into Ducati's Streetfighter line. With a starting price of $16,995, the V2 is no economy model, in fact, it is a formidable machine with plenty to offer interested buyers. This bike's brawn is delivered by the 955cc Superquadro engine that produces 153 hp and 74.8 lb-ft of torque. This is the same engine found in the Panigale V2, but that bike's fairings and clipons are stripped for a meaner look on the Streetfighter that is accentuated with a pronounced set of wide handlebars.

The menacing aesthetics on this Ducati are distinctly angular, right down to the V-shaped DRL, that Ducati claims is inspired by the infamous grin of the Joker. And don't be surprised if that grin is contagious, cause with the performance parts applied to this bike, it will definitely be a blast to ride.

The Streetfighter V2 is outfitted with a Showa BPF front fork and a Sachs rear shock absorber, along with 5-spoke wheels and new Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires. These features will enable the V2 to attack the road, but a little anger management is also applied, thanks to several technical components lifted from the Panigale V2 like ABS, traction control, wheelie control, a quickshifter, and engine brake control. So, even when the rider wants to push the bike over the edge, Ducati has ensured that the fight stays clean with a whole host of management systems.

If the Streetfighter V2 is a bare knuckle brawler, then the Streetfighter V4 SP is a highly trained, championship-level boxer. Marked with the legendary “SP” (Sport Production), this new V4 is the ultimate Streetfighter, as Ducati spared no expense building up this beast. That would also explain why this motorcycle will set back buyers $35,500. That's a high price to pay, but Ducati promises this bike will deliver with top of the line performance.

To get a rider's adrenaline pumping, Ducati utilized the 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine that cranks out 208 hp and 90.4 lb-ft of torque. And to make sure that this Streetfighter competes in the right weight class, Ducati incorporated a set of five-spoke carbon fiber rims that are 3 lbs lighter than the forged examples found on the Streetfighter V4 S.

To keep those wheels on the road, the V4 SP also comes with the Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension system and biplane wings to increase downforce. This lean and mean Streetfighter is also adorned in a Winter Test livery inspired by the rigs run during MotoGP and SBK Championships pre-season tests, showing its close connection to all out racers. This machine is all about finesse and serves as a wonderful contrast to the V2.

Ducati has definitely doubled down on the Streetfighter family with the introduction of the V2 and V4 SP. Both bikes will hit the U.S. market starting in February 2022.
