Amid all the news about the revived Ford Bronco SUV and the massively powerful, Hellcat-powered Ram TRX pickup truck, off-roading goodies like long-travel suspension, knobby tires, and four-wheel-drive systems tend to attract plenty of attention. But no matter which spec a legit off-road enthusiast picks for their new Bronco, they'll almost certainly want to go out and buy plenty of aftermarket mods. Meanwhile, a Ram TRX can easily creep up to the six-figure mark—and that's before all the customizations that so many drivers shell out huge sums of money on. But as the off-roading and overlanding fad continues to explode, what about buying a product that's truly ready to roll anywhere immediately? Well, for those buyers with the urge and the cash in hand, the overlanding firm EarthCruiser has just revealed their new Ford-based Terranova Expedition Vehicle—and for those without the cash, EarthCruiser is setting up an Omaze raffle, too.

EarthCruiser first shared the Terranova concept in fall of last year with a series of renderings that showed its general form and function. Now, the roadgoing production version based on a Ford one-ton chassis emerges complete with four-wheel-drive (of course) and all the tried-and-tested camping features that EarthCruiser became famous for with its Mitsubishi Fuso-based FX, EXP, and CORE models.

Marine-Grade Materials

Built with fiberglass and foam core composite that EarthCruiser claims is "made like a racing yacht," the Terranova's camper box mounts directly to the vehicle chassis using proprietary kinetic mounts to help isolate the construction from vibrations and chassis flex. The exterior of the camper box includes cubbies, mounts for the spare and recovery boards, and of course, a Trasharoo would fit on there quite nicely.

Pop-Up Sleeping Space And Interior Design Features

Despite the diminutive exterior profile when fully stowed and ready for the road, the Terranova's pop-top nicknamed "The Loft" allows for 360-degree views from the sleeping space above the truck's cab—and will fit a full Queen-sized mattress lengthwise thanks to a flip-down countertop bumper. Power stations, reading lights, and interior cubbies for bedside items also fit into the mix. The interior has been further optimized with horseshoe seating for four adults and one child, an adjustable-leg table, and drawers that transform into steps up to the loft.

But all the clever design and features come at a premium, with the current Ford version starting at $289,000 including the truck—Chevrolet and Dodge/Ram versions will be available options starting in 2022. EarthCruiser will hold a video walkaround of the new Terranova Expedition Vehicle on April 30 via socials and and ticket sales for the charitable fundraising raffle in partnership with Omaze will begin at that time.
