The Royal Family sure do love their Land Rovers. The Queen herself rather enjoys her car collection which you can see here and of those, her favorites are the Defender 90s. There are countless photos of the Queen Mother driving through the gardens in her Defender. There are even rumors that she enjoys working on the old machines themselves, which may be greatly exaggerated.

One of the more exciting Land Rover Defender 90s recently is the Project Snook. Built by ECD Automotive Design and shown on their YouTube Channel of the same name, this is a fully restored Land Rover Defender 90 Soft top with an American LS3 engine.

This isn't the first time that the two countries have come together to create something amazing as the original Shelby Cobra comes to mind. However, this project is very special as it features the Queen's choice of model combined with an American legend of an engine. Let's see what it's all about.

More Power Equals More Fun In The Off Roader

Snook's Fuji white paint job with gloss black accents is the first sign that this may not be your typical Defender. The interior features a wood MOMO steering wheel with a Nostalgia VT gauge instrument cluster. The seats offer Puma classic leather on the front as well as on the inward-facing benches in the load area.

The LS3 engine in the Defender 90 presents the owner with 430 HP and mates to a six-speed automatic transmission. At the 1:20 mark, we're able to hear the exhaust notes which are undeniably American.

While England and America have certainly had their differences in the past, this vehicle proves that two very different characters can join as a family no matter the differences.

In fact, the differences are what make this vehicle that much better. Having a massive V8 engine straight out over a C6 Chevrolet Corvette combined with the class and off-road capability of Land Rover make this restomod one of the most interesting builds. This Land Rover was lucky enough to have a second chance at life and it's a reminder that two unique cars can make something that works even better together.
