It is no secret that supercars are some of the most highly capable cars on the market, but their value tends to go away with poor modification choices. Supercars, or exotic cars, are mainly known for their luxurious looks and performance qualities. The price tags on these cars often reflect their prized characteristics. Let's be real, everyone has at least one supercar on their wish list.

What's better than a stock supercar with all the bells and whistles? A modified supercar that turns heads on the streets. But, now and then, these modification choices are... special. Let's take a look at some of the most questionable modified supercars roaming the streets.

10 Pink Glitter Lamborghini

Via Pinterest

Just when we think we have seen it all, we see a Lamborghini covered in pink glitter. If Barbie owned a Lamborghini, this is definitely what it would look like. Anyone can appreciate a sick under glow on a supercar like a Lambo, but the glitter is hard to swallow.

The pink leather interior is well-done, and there is no denying that whoever customized the exterior of this car knew what they were doing. It is just a little blinding if you know what we mean. As much as we love Lamborghini, we are going to have to pass on this pink paradise.

9 Ferrari 458 Spider

autoevolution

Ferrari is one of the most intoxicating car brands in the world, and we don't mean this in a bad way. These cars hold unbelievable performance qualities. The 458 spider, before performance modifications, can produce 570 horsepower and a top speed of 210 mph.

The tacky modifications on this model take away from the luxurious performance qualities. The car is wrapped in iridescent gold, with a shark mouth placed on the front bumper. We love shark week as much as anyone, but this car should've been left as stock. Not to mention the rose gold rims that throw the whole color combination off.

8 McLaren 720S

Via Robb Report

The McLaren 720S is a highly-capable and impressive vehicle, which has made several appearances in action films, such as the Fast N' Furious spinoff, Hobbs and Shaw. The performance capability of this car is unreal, producing 710 horsepower before modifications.

The 6-figure price tag isn't surprising. It is hard to say the same for this modded McLaren. The spray-painted appearance on the exterior of the car is somewhat tacky. While we love the purple rims, the monopoly inspired design would be better on a different vehicle, rather than a supercar like a McLaren.

7 BMW I8

It honestly hurts a little to see a tremendous car, like the BMW i8, modded in such a horrendous way. The original design of the car is very futuristic and easy to fall in love with. But, the exterior of this model is a shame.

The vinyl wrap job on the car makes it look entirely rusty, and not in a cool, rustic way. It looks very tacky, and we can only ask why someone would want this in the first place? The only parts of this car that aren't terrible are the wheels and the interior. Let's be real, the rust-wrapped body takes away from all the small, acceptable details.

6 Mitsuoka Orochi Evangelion Edition

With a top speed of 155 mph and 230 horsepower, it is hard not to be in awe of the Orochi Evangelion. This model is beyond rare, and the custom paint job on the car is based on the Neon Genesis Evangelion anime.

While the architecture of the car may be extremely appealing, the paint job is not our favorite. A lot is happening. While we love neon, the color combination and design on this car's exterior is not our cup of tea.

5 Dodge Viper GTC

Via autoevolution

The Dodge Viper is nothing short of incredible. Producing 645 horsepower and a top speed of 190 mph, these cars do not need a ton of performance mods to make them even more amazing. The exterior customization of this GTC model is questionable. The detailing almost resembles snakeskin, which might be fitting, but it throws our tastes off.

As much as we love rainbows, we're not sure about this modded creation. There is no denying that the exterior is a job well-done, and whoever put the work in, detailed it flawlessly. But, we are going to have to pass on the rainbow snake Viper for now.

4 BMW Z4

Via Motor1.com

Home to 3.o-liter 6-cylinder engine, this BMW model can produce up to 382 horsepower. Now that's impressive. This particular Z4 is one of the craziest mods we have come across in a while. The exterior of the car resembles a gold and white dragon.

Via Daily Mail

The detail on the creature itself is impeccable, giving off the illusion of feathers on the car. While the detail is amazing, it is hard for us to decide whether we like it or it is too out there for us. The wheels, interior, and convertible features are incredible, but the dragon engulfing the body of the car is still up for debate.

3 Audi R8 ABT

Via Carscoops

Some Audi models are "under the radar" supercars, but the performance of the Audi R8 ABT changes the game. Home to a V10 engine, this model produces up to 630 horsepower. The custom wrap on this R8 looks like something The Joker would drive.

Via Carscoops

Hidden behind the wrap's red design, women appear all over the car. It is an odd choice for a modification, and we think it would be better seen in a movie rather than on the streets. The interior and all-black wheels are superb, we just don't know how to feel about the wrap choice.

2 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Via autoevolution

It is no secret that Mercedes-Benz produces some of the most luxurious and sleek vehicles on the automotive market. The SLS AMG model is especially classy in appearance, but when you look at this camouflage modification attempt, the luxury goes out the window.

Via autoevolution

While camo may be a nice detail on some cars, we don't think it belongs on a supercar like this, let alone in the color blue. While the intent can be clearly seen, we can live without this Mercedes.

1 Audi R8

Via Twitter

Another Audi R8 has made this list, Lil Uzi's R8 to be exact. Now, there are a lot of details to appreciate on this vehicle. For example, the blue-toned under glow, the Forgiato wheels, and the rear spoiler. All of these modifications are perfect for this supercar.

The thing that throws it all off is the anime character wrap. For us, we think cars and anime should be kept separate. It is obvious that the work on this car was done exceptionally well, but we will have to pass on having an anime character on our favorite Audi R8 mods.
