Now let's get to those world records! Yes, Emelia Hartford set a record over the quarter-mile in her Chevrolet Corvette C8 with a scintillating time of 9.41 seconds. But that's not the end of this story. Emelia broke her own record in a scorching 9.36 seconds.
Her Corvette delivering 1,022 horsepower with 942 lb-ft of torque set records as the fastest C8 ever! FuelTech later recorded 1,075 horsepower.

Emelia rebuilt her grandmother's 1979 Buick Regal, which she named Mimi (also the name she grew up calling her grandmother, as Emelia reveals in one of her videos). And yes, Emelia says that it was built in her grandmother's honor! Just check out how she turned her grandma's Buick Regal into a 1,500 hp dragster.
But that's not the end of Mimi's story. Emelia took the Buick Regal out onto the strip. This is one loud machine. The Buick Regal ended up finishing a quarter-mile in 11.47 seconds. No wonder she wanted to rename it the Grim Regal! Yes, Emelia Hartford's Grim Regal gets more bang for the buck!
