What is a luxury car? Well, if we were to follow the strict, conservative definition, it would be something along the lines of a gigantic, eye-catching, yet boring piece of automotive serenity with four doors only the most wealthy can afford. However, as time passed we saw luxury sports cars, luxury SUVs and luxury EVs enter the space as well. Eventually, opulence alone was insufficient.

As a result, these expensive cars designated for the elderly were becoming blistering fast too, and the line between fast, reliable sports sedans and luxury cars started to blur. One thing stayed constant though, and that's the target audience for these luxury cars; unbelievably wealthy businessmen. These individuals still might have true sports cars they used as daily drivers tucked away in their garage, but when it came down to fetching the kids or going to business conferences, they all drove one of these grandeur luxury cars.

It is worth noting that these cars do tend to break down or malfunction sporadically, and that information isn't a secret. However, this also means that since everyone knows you're driving an unreliable car on a constant basis that you have enough money to afford its repair bills.
