The Hyundai Palisade has been a bestseller ever since it debuted, and now the Korean automaker has unveiled the 2023 trim at the 2022 New York International Auto Show. The three-row, midsize crossover remains at the top of its game, with upgrades sharper than ever. The revamped vehicle boasts a new design, a cabin that offers a Horde of features. According to Hyundai, the crossover is in high demand in the United States, with over 80,000 vehicles sold in 2020 and 2021.

The Hyundai Palisade has been a top-grossing model for the carmaker, and the 2023 trim is no exception. So, it can be assumed that the crossover may retain the 80K sales mark or even more with its sharper features and styling.

With its redesigned fascia, the external alterations are visible from the front. The design appears to be a little more vivid with revisions to the bumper, grille, headlights, and daytime running lights. A new multi-spoke alloy wheel design, automatic dimming side mirrors, and a revised rear bumper are among the other changes. Although Robust Emerald is new for 2023, the patinas stay the same.

The grille of the Palisade has been redesigned to be more rectangular, and it now has the same armor-like visual treatment as the Tucson and Santa Cruz trims. The Palisade's lines have been squared off, and the large, boomerang-shaped vertical LED lighting signature has been moved to the outer edge of the grille, ostensibly broadening the SUV. The rear bumper has been revised, and the Palisade Calligraphy top trim gets new 20-inch 15-spoke wheels.

Inside, there are a few cosmetic modifications, such as a redesign for the digital instrument cluster and a bigger screen for the infotainment system. There's a new steering wheel design and new seat surface and material designs. A digital rearview mirror, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a digital key compatible with iPhone and Android devices are among the new tech features. The wireless charging pad now charges at 15 watts, up from 5 watts previously. USB-C connectors have replaced the prior USB-A ports.

The top portion of the dashboard has been updated with a full-width trim piece linking the HVAC vents and a new steering wheel and infotainment system navigation controls. If there are too many physical items between the driver and the rear glass, a redesigned rearview mirror can allow the driver to peer behind from the backup camera's perspective. The driver’s seat is an 8-way power-adjusted driver's seat, and there is a choice of 7 or 8-passenger seating. The power tilt-and-slide sunroof and Proximity Key with a push-button start add to the luxury and convenience of this new Palisade SUV. The seven-seater option offers a second-row captain’s chair and dual sunroof.

A 12.0-inch infotainment screen is now standard, and there are USB-C connectors strewn over the cabin. The Palisade also has a messaging feature in the driver's seat, heated seats in the third row, wing-out headrests, and seat ventilation in the second row. The latest version of Hyundai Digital Key, which allows owners to lock, unlock, and start their car without a key using an iPhone, Apple Watch, or Samsung Galaxy, is also available, or drivers may start the car remotely using the key fob or Blue Link app. The Palisade is also Hyundai's first vehicle to have a Wi-Fi hotspot. A 12-speaker Harman Kardon may appear as a luxury audio system.

The 3.8-liter V-6 engine in the 2023 Palisade remains unaltered, providing 291 HP and 262 lb-ft of torque. The Palisade's eight-speed automatic gearbox is still available, and enthusiasts can book one with a front or all-wheel drive. All-wheel-drive Palisades also get a Tow mode, which recalibrates the transmission to hold lower gears for longer. The same 3.8-liter engine will power the Hyundai Palisade SE, SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy trims. In city, highway, and combined driving conditions, this engine gets 19,26,22 MPG, respectively. The FWD powertrain is standard. However, the HTRAC AWD system is optional. The vehicle also has a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs.

With rear side-impact airbags now standard, the crossover should be safer than before. Forward collision avoidance aid, navigation-based smart cruise control, highway driving help, remote intelligent parking assist, and reverse parking collision avoidance assist are among the driver-assistance systems available. The vehicle also employs ultrasonic sensors to monitor for movement in the car after it has been secured. It can notify the driver if it suspects anything or someone has been accidentally left behind.

The previous trims of this car recorded sales of 86,539 units in 2021 and is one of the greatest performance SUVs that debuted in late 2018. The 2023 Palisade's price has yet to be disclosed, but since the 2022 model starts at $34,335, including a $1,185 destination fee, this revised edition may see a modest price hike.
