Toyota Yaris is a super-mini automobile that has been in the market since 1999, succeeding the Tercel and Starlet. Toyota used the "Yaris" moniker for export versions of several Japanese market products until 2019, while other market segments received the same automobiles under the Toyota Echo nameplate until 2005. Notably, the Japanese company also adopted the Yaris nameplate in Japan in 2020, as it was used to replace the Vitz moniker.

Toyota debuted the GR Yaris in 2020. It's a 3-door performance derivative of the XP210 Yaris model with the Gazoo Racing logo. It was designed as a homologation variant for the World Rally Championship (WRC) race car. "Yaris" was formed from "Charis," the singular form of the Greek goddess of beauty and charm.

Toyota has made a total turnaround in the last decade or so. The corporation was trapped in a negative spiral, creating uninspiring vehicles that drove devoted enthusiasts to the point of rebellion. However, the Japanese automotive manufacturing giant is yet again creating some of the most thrilling sports vehicles available in the world automotive market, currently. For example, the classic Toyota Yaris, which has been converted into an outstanding rally vehicle wearing the same form as the GR Yaris, and the new Toyota Yaris GR Sport GT7 Edition are poised to advance the company's recent success story.

The Toyota Yaris GR Sport GT7 Edition is a 5-door hatchback inspired by the regular Yaris, and it shouldn't get mixed up with the Toyota GR Yaris hot hatch produced for homologation purposes. This automobile will feature the normal design of the interior and exterior of the Toyota Yaris vehicles, but with some special changes. As a norm, the Yaris boasts a sleek profile and a race-inspired hexagonal grille that is absolutely stunning, while it also rides on a 16-inches split spoke alloy wheels, which gives the vehicle a striking appearance.

The Yaris has optional integrated hazard lights that highlights its front fascia, while also improving visibility a great deal. The XLE model includes standard headlamps that improve visibility and offer an off/on feature to make your driving experience a pleasant one. Also, LED turn signal indicators are fitted into the outside mirrors of the Yaris XLE and LE, while the mirrors are also heated to keep ice and fog at bay.

With 100 units planned, the GT7 Edition Toyota Yaris will feature GT branding both on the inside and outside, while adopting a unique key, with key fob and key cover. There's also an internal emblem with the serial number of each of the 100 proposed units. All will be available in the Yaris GR Sport's "Gris Dynamique '' color, and they will feature distinctive 18-inch wheels and machined red segments. Extra underfloor bracing, a reworked electric power steering unit and reprofiled springs/dampers have also been added to the chassis. The Toyota Yaris GR Sport GT7 model also comes with an 8.0 inches infotainment touchscreen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It may also add Toyota's new Touch 2 navigation system, as well as an eight-speaker JBL audio system.

All trim levels of the Toyota Yaris come standard with a slew of safety features. The basic grade has the brand's sophisticated airbag system, as well as a number of driver assistance features like the front collision warning and the low speed automated emergency braking. There are also standard anti-lock brakes and a traction control system.

The GR Yaris is not your typical hot hatch, as Toyota deployed its WRC expertise and technology into making it an amazing sports car. The Yaris GR Sport GT7 Edition is compact and capable, with a convenient hatchback entry, so you can easily load your things before getting on the road, and it also has a remarkable fuel efficiency. In addition to a package of active safety technologies, the Yaris GR Sport GT7 Edition features ToyotaCare, a maintenance package that covers basic factory-scheduled servicing for two years or 25,000 miles, depending on which comes first, and a 24-hour roadside assistance for two years with unlimited mileage.

Unlike many other new vehicles, the GR Yaris is built to hoist trophies in elegance rather than turn heads. Low, broad, and spectacular, its aerodynamic design combines a slew of weight-saving technologies to secure victory on Rally Finland's tough crests and your favorite road's flowing bends.

Everything starts and stops with the 1.5-liter hybrid powertrain. It delivers 114 horsepower to the front axle using a CVT transmission. It may appear speedy, but it takes 9.7 seconds to accelerate from rest to 62 mph, so it's no GR Yaris, sadly.

Nonetheless, the GR Sport standard specification provides a distinct suspension setup, enhanced overall stiffness, and improved steering responsiveness when in comparison with any of the lower Yaris models. There aren't any mechanical modifications, and the suspension has been improved with tuned dampers and springs at the rear end, to reduce body lift.
