One of the largest chemical companies globally, Ineos, is looking for an automaker to invest in their Blue Hydrogen. Hyundai was looking for a place where they could buy Blue Hydrogen to fuel its previous FCEVs, such as the Nexo. Ineos Automotive has announced that the production of the Grenadier SUV will start in July 2022. The slot is reserved for the FCEV and not gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles. The company aims to back hydrogen as a clean energy solution for future vehicle versions. Further, Ineos has the subsidiary Inovyn, specializing in electrolysis to produce hydrogen for power generation and transportation.

Ineos is on board with Hyundai and other partners to create an FCEV model for the Grenadier. The global chemical company produces around 400,000 tons of Blue Hydrogen per year as a byproduct. Ineos is willing to invest hydrogen in the FCEV project in partnership with Hyundai and some others.
