Netflix has released Season four of the popular streaming series, Cobra Kai. This season features the arrival of another antagonist to Daniel LaRusso. The new villain is Terry Silver, played by actor Thomas Ian Griffith. Silver is a brash and unique personality who exudes power. One would expect such a person to drive a car that is equally unique, brash, and powerful. So it is no surprise to see Silver driving a Shelby Cobra in Cobra Kai season four. More information about Silver's Cobra is given in a video that Preston Ashford Media Group has posted on their YouTube Channel.

How The Cobra Replica Appeared On 'Cobra Kai'

The video starts with a Star Wars-like intro crawl that tells the story of how Cobra Kai acquired a Shelby Cobra replica.

In August of 2020, Brad Gouldsmith, the owner of Preston Ashford Media Group suggested that Cobra Kai producer Jon Hurwitz put a Cobra replica on the show. Gouldsmith then got Hurwitz into contact with replica car builder, Superperformance. Ultimately, the Cobra Kai producers chose a Superperformance MKIII to be Terry Silver's ride in the series. The exact car came from Downforce Motorsports in South Carolina.

Cars play an important role in The Karate Kid franchise. Mr. Miyagi taught Daniel the basics of Karate by having him wax a 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible. Cars continue to be vital to the subplot in Cobra Kai. Daniel LaRusso is now the owner of a car dealership whose motto is: "We Kick the Competition".

Johnny Lawrence's cars in Cobra Kai are a reflection of where he is in life. The first season sees a down-on-his-luck Johnny Lawrence driving a beaten-up 1991 Pontiac Firebird. Just like him, the Firebird is a once-powerful car that is in a state of disrepair.

Johnny then gets a Dodge Challenger painted in Cobra Kai black and yellow around the same time that he revives the Cobra Kai dojo.

Cobra Kai has done a remarkable job of bringing back all the important characters from The Karate Kid. It only makes sense to bring Terry Silver back, and he returns in a car with the perfect name for this series.
