Two decades after it was discontinued, not many gearheads expected that the Acura Integra will make a comeback. But it seems Honda is not done with the Integra yet. The Acura Integra is back, bigger and better. Earlier, Honda had teased car enthusiasts with a prototype of what lies in store in the 2023 Acura Integra.

Honda's luxury division, Acura, has redefined the Integra and added a lot of new technology to bring it up to date with the competition. Although there are similarities between the new Integra and the Civic Si, the Integra stands out as bold, daring, and ready to resurrect good-old memories as well as rewrite the Integra story. Understandably, Honda has kept a lot of details concerning the new Integra close to their chest. Here, we look at some things everything gearhead would love about the new Acura Integra...and one thing that might just be a deal-breaker.

With an MSRP of $31,895 for the base trim, $33,895 for the A-Spec, and $36,895 for the A-Spec Technology, the Acura Integra brings all the comfort, technology, and luxury a sedan can offer. The 2023 Integra will easily slip into the long list of cheap luxury cars from Japan.

The Integra now comes with a turbocharged VTEC engine, a six-speed manual transmission (with a limited-slip differential) or a CVT to battle its rivals such as the Audi A4 and Toyota GR 86 at a more affordable price.

9 We Love: 16 Speaker ELS 3D Stereo System

The 2023 Acura Integra is loaded with premium tech and Infotainment. The list of features ranges from the Acura Precision Cockpit 10.2-inch digital instrument display, and Apple CarPlay, to the Alexa built-in, and the 16-Speaker ELS STUDIO 3D premium audio system.

The 16-speaker ELS audio system together with the integrated subwoofer and two Highline speakers installed above the driver and front passenger seats enrich the car with great sound.

8 We Love: 12 Way Power Adjusted Sport Seats

The interior of the 2023 Acura Integra speaks comfort and luxury. It is equipped with fully bolstered sport seats. These seats are made of synthetic leather-trimmed upholstery with synthetic microsuede. The seats are also adjustable and foldable to create more space in the cabin.

They come standard with an 8-way power driver's seat and 4-way passenger's seat. For higher trims, there is a 12-way power seat with lumbar support for the driver.

The 2023 Integra carries on the Acura legacy of driver assistance and collision avoidance features popularly known as Acura Watch. Standard features of the Acura Watch include a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision mitigation, lane departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, and active lane control.

With the A-Spec Technology Package, there are additional front and rear parking sensors and front and rear automatic emergency braking. In addition, the Integrated Dynamics System provides different drive modes such as comfort, normal, and sport. There is also the individual mode on the A-spec.

5 We Love: 19-Inch Wheels

The 2023 Acura Integra is determined to stand up tall with its new dimensions. For starters, the Integra has a wheelbase of 107.7 inches and rides on matte-plated alloy wheels.

The base trim has a standard 17 x 7-inch wheel and 215/50R-17 tires while the Integra A-Spec gets 18 x 8-inch wheels and 235/40R-18 tires. To take it further, there is an optional 19-inch wheel with additional add-ons. The wheels are sporty and exude luxury and style.

4 We Love: Roomy Interior

The Integra is Civic Si's lookalike but has slightly longer-than-Civic dimensions. The 2023 Acura Integra measures 185.8 inches in length, 72.0 inches in width, and 55.5 inches in height compared to its sibling - the Honda Civic - which has a length of 182.8 inches, a width of 70.8 inches, and is 55.5 inches in height.

Integra's hatchback styling and foldable seats also make for a roomy cargo area. It is also perfect for a family getaway with enough cargo space for mini picnic luggage and skateboards.

3 We Love: The Integra's Brakes and Steering

Every good car needs a good braking system, and that's where Brembo brakes come in. Brembo is known for high performance. For the Integra, Honda has installed an oversized 12.3-inch ventilated front disc and 11.1-inch solid rear disc Brembo braking system.

The Integra comes with electric power-assisted variable-ratio steering which provides quick yet not twitchy response as well as good weighting.

2 We Love: Power Moonroof With Tilt

Acura Integra's styling is simple yet exquisite, and it comes with a power moonroof with a tilt feature that allows riders access to fresh air and moon view with a single touch. The moonroof has an auto-reverse feature that will reverse direction if it detects resistance to closing.

It also has a sliding sunshade for especially hot or sunny days. Some other specific designs include, Jewel Eye LED Headlights, Chicane LED Daytime Running Lights and Taillights, LED Fog Lights, and Exterior Puddle Lamps.

1 We Hate: Not Enough Power And It's Not A Coupe

One would think that Honda is set to blow our minds with improved features and performance in the new Integra, but the 2023 Acura Integra is nearly everything the Civic Si is. It gets its manual transmission, limited-slip differential, and 1.5-liter turbocharged engine from the Civic Si. Although its certainly peppy in the Civic Si, we feel that 200 hp is not enough for a car of the Integra's class.

A 2.0-liter turbo-four from the previous Civic Type R, which produced 306 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, or a hearty 252 hp and 273 lb-ft from the Accord Sport's engine would have been better options. To add to that, Honda makes it a 5-door hatchback, instead of a coupe that the Integra is already renowned for.
