Located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Apocalypse Manufacturing has been making waves with its outrageous pickup designs. The automotive manufacturer is a sister company of SoFlo Jeeps. Their pickup trucks are all six-wheelers and that makes them stand out. About the manufacturer's name, the pickup trucks in their lineup look ready for the apocalypse. Designed to look large and aggressive, these pickups from Apocalypse Manufacturing can handle anything. What makes these off-roading trucks more special is the amazing build quality. The interior of these six-wheelers is nothing short of luxurious, and it's no surprise how pricy they can be.

Apocalypse Manufacturing has several pickup models and their prices range from $155,000 - $250,000. The price of these trucks depends on the engine option the customer orders. The automaker has three engine options; a turbo engine, Hemi 392 engine, and a Hellcat engine. The Turbocharged diesel engine comes with 460 lb-ft of torque while the 6.4-liter Hemi 392 V8 has 470 horsepower. Since the Hellcat engine has 750 horsepower, it makes sense that it's more expensive. Let's look at some other things you should know about Apocalypse Manufacturing and their 6x6 pickups.

10 The Apocalypse Warlord

The Warlord is Apocalypse Manufacturing's version of the Ram 1500 TRX. While working on the project, the manufacturer tried to keep most systems and components from the original Ram 1500 TRX. For example, instead of changing the truck's electronically adjustable Bilstein shocks, they found a way to make it work for six shocks rather than four shocks.

The Apocalypse Warlord is equipped with a 6.2-liter Supercharged Hellcat V8 that's been tuned to 702 horsepower. With the addition of an extra set of wheels, the pickup's off-roading capabilities have gone off the roof. The towing capacity has increased from 8,100lbs to 12,000lbs.

However, they added larger injectors and tuned the engine to 400 horsepower. When Apocalypse Manufacturing builds more units of the Ford Bronco 6x6, we're expecting that they'd use supercharged v8 engines. The Apocalypse Dark horse will be at the April Barrett Jackson auto auction at no reserve.

Some sports car manufacturers choose kevlar as an alternative to carbon fiber while building body panels for their cars. However, some other carmakers use kevlar differently. Using kevlar paint or coating on trucks and SUVs is not unusual in the automotive industry. Many companies have since perfected their kevlar paint formulas.

One peculiar thing about Apocalypse Manufacturing is that most of their pickups are covered in kevlar. These paints have a tensile strength of 4700 and are scratch-resistant in most cases.

Apocalypse Manufacturing also has various financing options on its website for clients. The prices of their pickup trucks and the production costs are high, so they release their products in very limited quantities.

There aren't many manufacturers who sell already used cars on their website. Normally, you'd have to go to a used car website for that. However, Apocalypse Manufacturing isn't your conventional automotive brand. Currently, the company has listed a used 2020 Apocalypse Sinister 6 6x6 pickup for $139,999.

3 Their Pickups Are Handcrafted

The Apocalypse Sinister 6

Apocalypse Manufacturing has made it known that their vehicles are handcrafted. The question of whether handcrafted vehicles are better than cars built by machines is subjective. Machines aren't 100% efficient and neither are humans. Though, we'd have to admit that machines are better at performing repetitive tasks.

As a small manufacturer, Apocalypse Manufacturing might not want to employ machines because they're not cost-effective for low production volumes. Handcrafted cars are more detailed and most times, people just value them because of the number of man-hours put into their production.

2 They Offer Amazing Upgrades

You could get a twin-turbocharged diesel engine, 6.2L supercharged Hellcat V8 with 750 horsepower, or a 6.2L Corvette LS3 V8 that delivers 500 horsepower. For the interior, the manufacturer used leather stitched in a quilted pattern from the ceiling to the doors.
