Last year, Scottish actor Ewan Mcgregor and his friend Charley Boorman embarked on a journey from Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, to Los Angeles, California, as part of the new docu-series "Long Way Up" which is coming soon to Apple TV+. In this journey, Ewan and Charley took two Harley Davidson Livewires more than 7,000 miles across the Americas, with two Rivian R1T (Tesla's upcoming competitor) as part of the support convoy. Let's check out Obi Wan's new documentary.

This truck will be first offered with the top range 180 kWh battery, allowing the R1T to deliver up to 750 hp, 11,200 lbs of towing capacity, 0 to 60 mph under 3 seconds, and over 400 miles of range on a single charge. The R1T will start at $69,000. You can find Rivian's detailed journey through South America on their website.

"Long Way Up" is going to be the third and last part of McGregor's travel documentary. The first one, Long Way Down, consisted of a journey from London, UK, to Cape Town, South Africa. For this trip, McGregor and Boorman picked a BMW R1200GS Adventure motorcycle. The second one, Long Way Round, consisted of a journey through twelve countries, starting in the UK and passing through Europe, Asia, and coming to North America through Alaska, with New York City being the final destination.

Now, the journey for the third and last part of this docuseries will feature the dramatic landscapes of the Americas and the challenge of making long adventure trips on electric vehicles where there are no charging stations. In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Ewan said that they had to ask locals several times to use their home electricity to charge the vehicles. There's no official release date for this show, but you should expect it to hit Apple TV+ soon.
