Off-roading and overlanding blew up in a big way throughout the pandemic, nudged along by picture-perfect social media posts and an urge to get outside and recreate safely. The trend continues to appear on the up and up, resulting in cartoonishly huge creations like the Apocalypse Manufacturing Warlord 6x6 that will hit Barrett-Jackson's auction block in Scottsdale, Arizona, this weekend. But if a 6x6 seems a bit too unwieldy for actually surviving an apocalypse, enthusiasts can decide to spend their cash on a different beast in the form of this 2018 Rezvani Tank currently listed on the auction website Bring a Trailer.
Highly Modified JK Wrangler
Essentially based on a JK-generation Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's chassis, Rezvani then adds an aggressive and futuristic exterior complete with 20-inch black wheels shod in massive 37-inch Nittos, a roof-mounted LED light bar, and even an infrared night-vision camera setup. This truck's combination of matte black and piano black finish looks straight out of the Terminator sequels or, as some commenters have pointed out on the auction listing, maybe like something that Vin Diesel or Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson might drive in the Fast and Furious franchise. Unfortunately, the truck is not bulletproof.
Reverse-Hinged Doors & Custom Seats
Further customization to the Wrangler platform includes rear-hinging rear doors, red leather upholstery on the front and rear seats, and plenty of Rezvani badging throughout. Somewhat hilariously, even though the night vision works, the factory backup camera apparently does not. Retracting side steps allow for easier access into the lifted Jeep cabin, which also includes an upgraded sound system with a Kicker amp and a Rezvani subwoofer in the trunk.
500 Horsepower From A V8 Engine
Under the hood lurks a 6.4-liter V8 that Rezvani claimed put out 500 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque when new. That grunt can route to either the rears or all four wheels through a five-speed automatic and a legit dual-range transfer case, presumably the original Jeep factory units—whether they've received any beefing up to handle the additional power on offer from the V8 remains a mystery. The truck only traveled around 8,000 miles during its life in California and Indiana, which should help to propel bidding up far past where it currently sits at $19,000 with seven days remaining until the final gavel.
