Let’s face it … incredibly fancy cars are rather synonymous with rap. How many rap videos have we seen over the years where the rap artists are surrounded by expensive cars, huge houses and “Benjamins” falling from the sky in droves?

It’s true and it’s been the case since rap was pretty much invented. The theme being: “I come from the streets and my rap will get me all that I ever dreamed of.” A very valid sentiment and one that almost anybody that ever had a dream can indeed relate to.

Rap, in general, has been around since the late 1970s and DJ Kool Herk was responsible for bringing it around. It was later cultivated by many other artists, specifically, Melle Mel, who took the genre of music to another level. Over the years many artists have risen to prominence and the rap genre has changed over and over again. Yet the one thing all rap stars have shared over the years is their love of expensive cars.

Fast forward all these years later and enter the A$ap Mob, a group of young rappers, led by none other than A$ap Rocky. Now they, in general, have a definite love for the automobile. A$ap Rocky, in particular, has got an incredible collection of cars and has even used some amazing ones in videos and photoshoots. Join us as we take a look at his awesome rides, as well as his bandmates’ favored rides.

15 MEET "DA BOYS!"

Regarded as a hip-hop collective, these young men formed the group in 2006. The ensemble is formed of members from the streets of Harlem, Manhattan and New York City. It wouldn't be until 2012 that the collective would release their first ever album, Lords Never Worry. The group was founded by A$ap Yams, but he sadly passed on in 2015.

Since then, A$ap Rocky has definitely done well to fill in as leader of the troupe and stands out in popular culture, specifically since he dated Kendall Jenner of the renowned Kardashian dynasty.

Members include A$ap Bari, A$ap Ferg, A$ap TY y and a plethora of others.

14 A$AP TY Y - STREET BIKE CULTURE

Now apart from Rocky and Ferg, A$ap TY Y loves vehicles as well ... only his choice of vehicles is definitely different, to say the least.

He is a massive fan of street bikes, but not the sort you'd think. He loves motocross bikes and ATVs, riding them on the streets ... the very streets he grew up on.

To say that this has become quite the movement in the last decade would be an understatement, as many aficionados have taken to the streets to ride and pop wheelies, especially in and around New York and particularly Philly. TY Y claims to love the culture.

13 A$AP TY Y - EMBRACING THE DANGERS

He also claims to embrace the dangers that go with it. Let's face it, riding such vehicles on the back streets of a major metropolis isn't always the safest thing to do, but he embraces it with open arms and an open heart, saying that it defines him.

We have to commend him as he's just being himself and is putting an honest version of himself forward. This comes through in his art and in the way he communicates with the world, his fans and the rest of the world.

He owns many motocross bikes and ATVs and is always posting on twitter if you want to check out his latest rides.

12 A$AP ROCKY - FERRARI 488GTB

Of course, anyone who's serious about acquiring a top of the line car collection of luxury cars has got to get his or her hands on a Ferrari. And yeah, most Ferraris will definitely do, as the make is extremely popular among aficionados of luxury sports cars.

A$ap Rocky is no different of course and he has favored 2 different cars from the Ferrari brand. The 488GTB as well as another. We'll get to the other one in a bit.

As for the 488GTB, it's definitely one of the most sought-after Ferraris on the market and our pal Rocky has got one in his garage.

11 A$AP ROCKY - LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO

Lambos are probably next in line, as many who have loads of money seem to drop the serious amount of cash it takes to have one on the cars under the manufacture name; particularly the Gallardo, pictured here.

Many celebs have paid to own this monstrosity of mechanical design and Rocky is no different. The car went into production in 2003 and the latest model is a 2014, yet despite that the car will soon be 5 years old, it's still a top seller among aficionados of the sort.

10 A$AP ROCKY - FERRARI 360 MODENA

And here's Rocky's other Ferrari. Many car collectors don't even bother with this brand, especially fans of muscle cars or more classic vehicles, but Rocky seems to favor the company, seeing that he has two of their models in his possession, and hey ... to each his own.

The Modena pictured here is a serious ride and one of Ferrari's most famous models. It went into production in 1999, went until 2004, and this one too is still a popular purchase despite its obvious age. We wonder if he got it used or brand new

9 A$AP ROCKY - LEXUS LS

For years, the Lexus was viewed as your parent's vehicle. So many of the models are pretty ... well, "blah" if you ask us, and we certainly wouldn't envision a rapper favoring the car of all people. But Rocky seems to rather like the Lexus, as out of all the cars in his collection, he is seen riding this model, pictured here, the most.

Maybe it was his first car and it's special to him, but regardless, the car went into production back in 1989 and is still going strong. It's actually assembled by Toyota and newer styles are a tad more nicely designed but still, I'd much rather picture his parents driving this car than him.

8 ROCKY'S CAR TASTES

And speaking of Rocky's car tastes, they are definitely all over the mark, as we've just seen. But at the same time, that's okay. There are all sorts of car aficionados out there and they all have their very own tastes.

Some people out there don't know much about cars at all and just pick the cars in their collection by how they look, and we're not saying that A$ap Rocky is in this category by any means, but his choices tend to make us believe that he is more about style than performance.

Let's face it ... it's not like he has any muscle cars in his collection, and the Lexus does throw us for a loop.

7 A$AP ROCKY - BMW 5 SERIES

BMW ... some say take it or leave it. There are, in fact, many of us that would leave it, but BMW certainly has its fair share of fans and consumers, our buddy A$ap Rocky included.

Yet there are those that believe that the BMW cars and SUVs that are released are and tend to be a tad "boxy," and this writer will have to agree.

For a company that started manufacturing motorcycles first though, they do have a vast line of cars that do well on the market and are in fact mechanically impressive ... but still ... no style.

6 A$AP ROCKY - MERCEDES A CLASS

Now here's an auto manufacturer from Germany that has a sense of style--big time! Mercedes surely cannot be accused of having a lack of design initiative when it comes to aesthetics and we're sure this car gets Rocky a lot of attention on the streets.

This style here is a lot more acceptable of a rap star, we'd have to say. It just seems to say "Bling!" a tad more loudly.

Daimler, of course, has been producing this car and model, as well as the other Mercedes vehicles for quite some time; this model in particular since 1997. It has undergone many designs from model to model and it just seems to be getting better with age.

5 A$AP FERG'S NEED FOR SPEED

A$ap Ferg is no stranger to the automobile, believe us. He is, in fact, quite the automotive enthusiast, only he's a tad quieter about it all than his bandmate Rocky. Not much is known about his car collection, as he definitely likes to keep a low profile. He did make a bit of news a few years back when he got into a horrible accident on his way to the Coachella Music Festival. He was saved, but definitely had a close call.

He was saved by his seat belt, which he always wears, as he is a fan of going fast when behind the wheel.

4 A$AP FERG'S DREAM CAR - SLS MERCEDES BENZ

He doesn't own this car, but to watch Ferg talk about this make and model, you would think he was a castaway on a desert island dreaming of a turkey dinner covered in gravy, biscuits and mashed potatoes.

He is a definite fan of this car. We can't say that enough. He said that if you ever wanted to get on his good side and wanted to give him an expensive gift, then this would be that gift. Pretty expensive gift if you ask us, but hey ... somebody might be interested in buying it for him. In production from 2010 to 2014, this one is definitely high end and would cost a pretty penny indeed.

3 A$AP ROCKY - CADILLAC ESCALADE

What would a rapper's collection be without the modern day Cadillac of the stars? If the pink Cadillac was all the craze for country western stars of the past, then the model pictured here is definitely the craze in this day and age and seemingly for the last decade and a half or so. many rappers and other celebrities have been seen behind the wheel or in the back of one of these beasts, and really it just goes with the territory.

As far as the vehicle is concerned, it is definitely a great SUV. Expensive but worth it as it is top of the line and we more than understand why Rocky would want to own one.

2 A$AP ROCKY - ROLLS ROYCE

This car as well has been credited to A$ap Rocky, although there aren't many photos of him with the car. And if he does own this car, we've gotta say that this one makes us proud. Although it is aesthetically pleasing or rather alluring, it also packs a punch and is definitely a quality vehicle. Rolls Royce is definitely top of the line and we commend Rocky for his choice of car in this case, if he owns it at all.

He could have very well rented it once and that was all. We're not too sure about this one, but there are paparazzi who have claimed to have seen him driving this one, and it just makes his whole collection that much more ... how shall we put it? Let's just say, it gives his collection a bit more cred.

1 A JAGUAR E-TYPE FROM ONE OF A$AP MOB'S MUSIC VIDEOS

The cars they own or rent are one thing, but the cars their videos are entirely a different thing. They don't own these cars, but drive them or pose around them in their videos. This is a tactic that has been used by rappers since the dawn of the genre and we can't blame Rocky for hopping on the bandwagon.

Many cars have been in his and the collective's videos, but we've gotta say that this one here is probably our favorite ... a classic Jaguar. It was black and the car just screams classic British engineering and stays in theme with the Rolls he has in his collection.

We do wonder why, if Rocky chooses to have cars like this in his videos, they don't end up in his private garage? He probably could have purchased more cars like this had he foregone the Ferraris.
