The Discovery Channel over the years has produced a large range of motoring content, from American Chopper to Wheeler Dealers and Chasing Classic Cars. These programs usually focus on classic cars, their owners, restoration, and the community that surround them. Their latest entry to this genre is Street Outlaws. On air since 2013, the show focuses on the underground racing circuit in Oklahoma. A deep dive into the community, the show features “The List”, a group of the city's most infamous street racers. These drivers all use a range of modified muscle cars to win these nighttime drag races. A spin-off from this main series features two of the show's stars.

Premiering January 10, 2022 on the Discovery Channel, the show is the latest in enthusiast programming.

Who Are Farmtruck And AZN?

Farmtruck and AZN are two of Street Outlaw's most loved cast members. The two haven't quite made it into “The List,” as the best drivers in Oklahoma. However, the two form a dynamic duo that as friends have excellent on-screen chemistry. Most of their on-screen antics come with the caption “Don't try this at home.” Farmtruck's passion for racing began on Route 66, where he started races with a flashlight. The two became friends racing on the 405 highway.

The pair drive a 1970 Chevy Long Bed Truck. A sleeper within the street racing community, the truck takes fellow racers by surprise. Although they enjoy list racing, taking on the giants of the underground scene, according to OKC Farmtruck they spend their time “fishing”. In other words, racing unknowns after downplaying the modified truck's capability. AZN purchased his own car to continue this pastime. A classic Beetle with a turbo 400 horsepower engine, it is the ideal sleeper. With this shared passion for custom sleeper vehicles, they are the ideal hosts for their show on the Discovery Channel.

Whilst their most famous vehicle the red Farmtruck continues to appear alongside most of their content, both on television and their YouTube channel, the pair continue to embark on new projects. It's unknown which of their projects will make it onto the show. Most notably, a jet-powered drag racer, the haunted hearse, and a high-performance golf cart have left the pair's workshop.

The duo's Facebook page has 3.4 million fans. Over recent weeks, it has teased upcoming projects from the pair. Including the Zamborghini a drag-tuned warehouse vehicle. Equipped with an SRT8 6.4 Hemi engine, it has 575 horsepower and 575-pound foot of torque at the crankshaft. Even with a loss in power on the way to the wheels, it's a truly ludicrous amount of power for a vehicle of its kind. Another recent project is the Air Scream, a drag racing camper van. According to the Discovery Channel, Jeff Lutz has assisted the pair with their builds. Lutz is a star of Street Outlaws. In a vehicle called "Mad Max," he shot to the top of “The List.” Mad Max is a modified Camaro that set the quarter-mile world at 5.87 seconds. Justin Shearer aka Big Chief proceeded to take Lutz's place. Returning in a '57 Chevy, Lutz hoped to take back his title.
