We've seen many high-performance EVs races next to each other. But, finally, YouTube channel DragTimes has put the three most potent electric car on the market to an experiment. They set out to find which model would come out on top as the best-performing electric vehicle amongst the Tesla S refresh model, the crowd's favorite Porsche Taycan Turbo S, and the new Tesla killer the Lucid Air Dream Edition.

You will witness how Tesla's luxury sedan car handily crushes its competitors at the drag strip in the YouTube video below. And at some point, I felt like we need an ICE supercar for comparison, like the Bugatti Chiron or Jesko, maybe? Just to make it more fun and make some monstrous sound in the field.

It shouldn't come as a surprise to learn that the Model S Plaid has dominated once again. Tesla's luxury car wins All three races, in which the Model S was well ahead in the game of the Lucid Air and much significantly ahead of the Taycan. Lucid and Tesla have blistering quarter-mile times, but they're all speeding up so quickly together that they look to be slower. It's impressive that Lucid's first car managed to beat out the Taycan in a straight line while staying close to the Tesla.

They also showed the remaining battery after the races in the video, and the Plaid had the least battery capacity during the race, with only 82 percent battery remaining because of its three electric motors. The Lucid Air's battery was at 86 percent charge, while the Taycan Turbo S's was at 90 percent charge.

The Lucid Air put up a strong showing, despite its bigger body (5,300 pounds) necessitating more work to move. The Taycan finished third, due to its weight and notably lower performance. It's also worth noting that the Porsche is nearly 500 pounds heavier than the Tesla. Whereas, we recognize the Taycan as one of the better maneuver EVs in the real world. So far, the race has gone according to plan in terms of power to weight.

The Tesla Model S Plaid has a fresh 1,020 horsepower from its three-motor drives, making it appear like an entirely unique creature as compared to its competitor, which weighs only 4,800 lbs, making it significantly lighter than the Lucid and Taycan. Fun fact, it's the cheapest amongst them all, with prices starting at roughly $130,000.

The Lucid gets powered by two electric motors and has a top speed of 1,111 horsepower. It also costs a whopping $170,000. The Taycan produces 750 horsepower (551 kW) thanks to its two electric motors and two-speed transmission. It's also the most pricey of the trio, with a price tag of $218,000 for the specification shown in the video. For now, it appears that the supercars such as the Rimac C_Two, Aspark Owl, or Pininfarina Battista are the only vehicles that could compete with the Model S Plaid.
