Fiat Chrysler sells a hell of a lot of minivans, and they’ve got the stats to prove it.

Fiat Chrysler just sold their 15 millionth minivan. They didn't tell us which one it is, but it could be any of four different models including the Chrysler Pacifica, Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, Chrysler Voyager, or Dodge Grand Caravan. Each of them has their own specific charms to entice the budget-conscious family into the driver's seat.

In fact, FCA is the leading manufacturer of minivans in North America. FCA sells way more minivans than muscle cars per year and has a current minivan market share of 54%. FCA claims to be the number one minivan seller ever since inventing the segment over 35 years ago when the first Plymouth Voyager rolled off the assembly line in Windsor, Ontario.

Minivans. Lots of them.

To celebrate this monumental achievement, FCA did two things. First, they made a huge collage image that shows each of their minivan models for the past 35 years, and there are quite a few. Second, they announced the Chrysler Pacifica Red S Edition at the Los Angeles Motor Show.

We gotta say, a minivan has never looked sportier than on the Chrysler Pacifica Red S Edition. In has a cool red leather interior, S logos on the seatbacks with contrasting grey stitching, velvet red inserts, black badges in all the right places, 20-inch black rims with a rad design, and best of all, a 20-speaker Harman Kardon audio system to put your living room stereo to shame.

Chrysler is turning up the heat in the minivan segment, adding a new Red S Edition for the 2020 model year.

You can also get the Pacifica Red S Edition on the Pacifica Hybrid, which FCA also points out is the first and only plug-in hybrid electric minivan in North America. It has an insane fuel economy of 82 mpg and an all-electric range of 32 miles, meaning you'll rarely need to fill up the tank if all you do is take the kids to soccer practice.

The Pacifica Red S Edition has an MSRP of $3,995 over the price of whatever Pacifica you go for. Even though it won’t turn your minivan into a sports car, we can’t deny that this Pacifica is the coolest minivan out there.
