Tuning cars - or more aptly - supercars and luxury cars, is something Mansory has been at for a while now, and they're known as heavy hitters in the global tuning scene. They've turned regular supercars into some of the most outlandish designs we've come across so far - and they turn heads like women in mini skirts.

There's no denying the fact that the Ferrari Monza SP2 is a gorgeous car to look at by itself, but the Mansory makeover has made it a hotter property in almost every way, right down to the red exhaust tips.

What gives this Ferrari its unique appeal, is its roofless design, and it was quite obvious that Mansory had to get its creative hands on one. Ferrari has produced only 499 units of the Monza SP1 and SP2, the latter of which is the slightly more practical of two since it has two seats, unlike the single-seater SP1.

Ferrari Monza SP2 By Mansory Has The Right Level Of Aggression

One look at the Mansory Ferrari Monza SP2, and you're sold. The silhouette remains untouched, but some details give it a meaner look. It starts with a freshly designed front lip, which has been shaped better; you see sills that are more prominent and there's a new rear diffuser as well. All the components are done in clearly visible carbon fiber.

There are two stripes on the bonnet and the aerodynamic scoop on the driver's side that are painted in black since that's what the client wanted. He wanted that his SP2 must look distinct, and rather different from other regular Monza SP2s. The Rosso Corsa shade only adds further to its appeal.

The color can also be seen used on the edges of the parts covered in carbon, accentuating them in the most subtle way possible. Then there's the 6.5-liter V12 engine that's got a performance upgrade via optimization of the standard electronics, a new exhaust system, and a modified air intake system that has increased the overall power output to 830hp and 545 lb-ft of torque.

The exhaust system includes some special detailing, wherein the inner part of the tailpipes has been painted red; it goes rather well with the black and red color area, where the mind-boggling exhaust system is seen.

It also features newly tuned suspension components and 'YT.5 Air' rims that scream Mansory when you look at this bespoke modification of the Ferrari Monza SP2. These gorgeous, one-piece, exclusively designed and ultra-light forged rims have been wrapped with high-performance 21-inch tires up-front, and 22-inch tires at the back. These tires ensure the best in terms of lateral dynamics.

The color concept from the outside carries over to the cockpit as well. Just like the aerodynamic scoop, which forms an optical axis in black, the driver's seat is also finished in black, while the passenger seat is finished in red. A bit jarring, but if it's a Ferrari, we don't think it should be a problem. The seams of both seats, however, are done in yellow.

Ferrari Monza SP2 Draws Its Inspiration From The 50s

The Ferrari Monza SP2 is part of Ferrari's Icona series - and it also happens to be one of the most gorgeous cars made in the company's history. As mentioned earlier on in the feature, it's a limited-series car for collectors.

Its timeless design, paired with all the latest technologically advanced components, makes it a unique offering in the Ferrari stable. The SP2, like the SP1, has been inspired by Barchettas from the 1950s that were driven to fame in international motorsport by drivers from Scuderia and other gentlemen racers from the same era.

The First Ferrari Barchetta Was The 1948 166 MM

The first-ever Barchetta Ferrari was a roofless 166 MM from 1948. Barchetta as in, a small speed boat. The 166 MM drove the Italian marque to the history books, after winning the Mille Miglia, and then the 24 Hours of LeMans in 1949. Other exceptional sports cars followed, like the 750 Monza and 860 Monza, which is where the SP2 Monza name inspiration comes from.

Barchettas did not have a full windshield, and instead, featured a single, wrap-around one, but the SP2 does not have windscreens at all; the SP2 is for the buyer looking at taking his 7-year kid out for a blast.

Ferrari Monza SP2 Is Unlike Any Other Supercar

It's clear that the SP2 has been shaped by the wind - at least that's what the styling has to convey. It's futuristic alright, but the concept pays homage to the past. Enzo Ferrari, the man himself, believed that "If there is such a thing as a soul, engines have one" - and the Monza SP2 does not fail to live up to its founding father's belief.

Now since there was no windshield, Ferrari had to find a way of creating something that did come in the way of the driver's comfort, and the result was a Virtual Wind Shield, which is incorporated into the fairing, slightly ahead of the instrument panel and the steering wheel.
