Ferrari is teasing a new special one-off supercar on social media called the Prototipo.

That’s “Prototype” in Italian. The special project is set for a big reveal later today (March 25th at 3:00 PM CET, to be precise), but that doesn’t mean Ferrari isn’t going to tease the crap out of us right up until the very second the clock strikes three.

What we’re expecting is a special one-off car that most other carmakers wouldn’t have bothered to spend this much on marketing. Ferrari loves their special commissioned pieces though, so it not only gets the full teaser treatment, it also gets a mini-documentary that’s set to start on Monday.

The video begins with “Blackbird films,” which according to Motor1, refers to Blackbird Concessionaires, the official Ferrari dealer in Hong Kong. Not only do they sell Ferraris, but they also help Ferrari make mini-documentaries and other film projects--since Hong Kong is the film hub of China and all.

Additionally, the person in charge of Blackbird Concessionaires seems to be the guy who commissioned the Prototipo. His name is Mr. TK Mak, and his Instagram is very excited about the Prototipo’s big reveal. It’s also filled with Ferrari memorabilia and photos so perfect they could be stock images, which is a bizarre duality we weren’t expecting with a one-off Ferrari.

Anyway, the video itself is pretty standard. Italian voices talk about making dreams into a reality, and then we get a few stills of the car’s flanks and then a nice backward shot of a car zooming down a track.

Sources on FerrariChat say that this one-off is going to be based on the LaFerrari, which is a nice place to start and certainly follows with the brief shot of the car on a race track we saw in the teaser vid. Everything else is speculation, but Motor1 does point out there was a LaFerrari patent submitted a few years ago that we never heard back from.

So what could this car be? Find out in a few hours.
