Anything can be cute, be it a wristwatch, house, pet, or in this case, a Fiat. Car manufacturers have built countless cute cars over the years but not many have done it with the dedication and consistency of the Fiat.

In 1899, about nine Italians came together to start the Fiat car company and we would assume building cute cars wasn’t top of their agenda – they just wanted to create a better means of transportation and of course make money too.

The Fiat has created these cute cars out of sheer dedication to aesthetic excellence. Here, we’ll rank and describe the 10 cutest Fiat models of all time.

10 1957 FIAT NUOVA 500

It all began here for the classic 500 series. The 1957 Fiat Nuova 500 is as cute as it gets and was the toast of car lovers back in the days. The Nuova 500 couldn’t be bulky considering it’s powered by a 13 hp engine and driving a bulky car wasn’t a cool move back then; people just want to move conveniently around town in their small cars – Nuova was that car.

Rocking the “suicide doors”, the Nuova is quite unconventional in design and very light in weight and made this list due to its classic design.

9 FIAT DINO

The Fiat Dino in the 9th spot was so cute the producers of the highly successful 1969 British action-comedy movie “The Italian Job” had to feature it. The Fiat Dino was produced in 1966 mainly for homologation and it got its name from its Ferrari Dino V6 engine produced by Fiat for racing in the Formula 2.

Unfortunately, production of the Fiat Dino ended in 1973 but because of its badass racing engine and a body crafted to perfection, the Dino will make you wish you lived in its era or have the money needed to get one from a collector.

8 FIAT 124 SPIDER

Originally produced in 1966 by the Fiat Company, this classic car has undergone various modifications and improvements to get to this modern form that was released in 2016 but Fiat won’t take all the glory for the production as it was built in partnership with Mazda.

The Fiat 124 Spider is powered by a turbocharged 1.4 MultiAir engine that produces 160 hp, which is a testament to the car not only being a beauty to the eyes but also a beast on the tracks. There isn’t any production ambiguity as Fiat firmly has its badge on this model.

7 FIAT 600

Small (but spacious), simple and efficient, the Fiat 600 gets the job done cutely. Built almost like a replica of the Volkswagen beetle of its time, the Fiat 600 is tailored specifically for efficiency through performance and cost of buying it – and it delivered. The car sold millions to the admiration of the Fiat Company and car enthusiast.

As a worldwide sensation, the Fiat 600 has been made and marketed in various counties of the world such as Spain, Germany, Yugoslavia of old, Serbia, and South America as a testament to its irresistible appeal and it takes the 7th spot on our list.

6 FIAT 500e

Delivering optimally both in form and function, this is literally an electrifying car. Reportedly, Fiat might have produced this electric model reluctantly due to the negative remarks made about electric vehicles by their former CEO Sergio Marchionne some years back, but what a reluctant production this has been.

The 500e is unsurprisingly cute as it took its form from the highly rated and successful Fiat 500 model. For distinction and easy identification from non-electric variants, the 500e has new front and rear bumpers, tweaked mirrors, 15-inch wheels, and a rear spoiler. A cutie!

5 FIAT BARCHETTA

A completely Italian car even down to its name, the Barchetta; means “little boat”. The Barchetta is truly shaped like a boat and the convertible (open roof) option on the car gives the feeling typical of a boat cruise because of the unhindered gush of fresh air you enjoy while driving.

Accompanying these eye-catching aesthetics is an equally impressive powertrain that features a 1.8-liter engine that produces 129 hp and 121 lb-ft of torque. The Fiat Barchetta expectedly can cruise to 62 mph in 8.9 seconds and has a top speed of 124 mph.

4 FIAT X1/9

We have to admit that this car has a funny name and an unconventional mode of turning it into a convertible, but it’s a 1972 classic Fiat so we decided to cut it some slack and highlight the ingenuity of the designer. In a nutshell, it’s a fine car.

Retractable headlights were game-changers back in the days and it also goes to show how cool the X1/9 is for having it. The push of a button won’t suffice, but if you can just postpone been lazy for some seconds, you could undo the lightweight-removable hardtop and turn your car into a convertible. Awesome.

3 FIAT TOPOLINO MODEL A

In the 3rd spot, shaped like a mickey mouse, the Topolino was among the smallest cars of its time. This car is beautiful and you can’t help but acknowledge its presence anywhere you see it. Although the Topolino doesn’t have the performance to show for its beauty, but as a 1936 production car, the 13 hp and 53 mph it offers were around the best any car could offer back then.

The Fiat Topolino Model A has the vintage “suicide doors” and comes in three variants of the 2-door saloon, 2-door convertible saloon, and a 2-door van.

2 1963 GHIA 1500 GT

The Italian styling house of Ghia decided to partner with Fiat in the early 1960s to do a styling job on the Fiat 1500 sedan and that resulted in the production of the 1963 Ghia 1500 GT. The only con to this partnership is that only a handful of these beauties were made.

The exterior architecture of the Ghia 1500 exudes class, finesse, and luxury such that the car has become a collector’s goal. In the Ghia 1500 GT, the Ghia styling house has built a car so beautiful its brand name is stamped in automotive history.

1 FIAT ABARTH 595

The Abarth & C owned by the Italy based wing of Fiat is an Italian racing car and road car maker founded originally by Carlo Abarth in 1949. One year after the rebirth of the company, the Abarth 500 which is a performance model of the Fiat 500 was presented to the audience at the 78th Geneva Motor Show to the admiration of all.

To improve the brand, Abarth & C added a facelift to Abarth 500 and called it the Abarth 595. The Abarth 595 is so cute it takes the first spot and you wouldn’t blame anyone who buys it just for its looks.
