One of the interesting things about Fisker is its history. In August of 2007, they started as Fisker Automotive. Unfortunately, they went bankrupt in 2013. Apparently, after the bankruptcy, there was a three-day auction. All remaining assets were purchased by Wanxiang.

The Wanxiang company launched Karma Automotive soon after. They are known as a luxury electric car company. After the financial disaster, Henrik Fisker re-launched the company in 2016. It’s now known simply as Fisker Inc. The company still specializes in the production of electric cars.

Though quite young, that doesn’t mean they haven’t made quite a bit of headway in such a short time. They’ve released the Fisker Orbit and the Fisker Emotion since. And in 2021, the Fisker Ocean will make its debut.

We’ll be taking a deeper look at the Ocean. Join us as we see exactly why automotive enthusiasts couldn’t be more excited about this incredible electric car.

15 A Revolutionary Vehicle & Deal All Rolled Up Into One

via Motor Authority

Quite a few things are being promised before the release of this car. Like a politician, Henrik Fisker is making promises at every public appearance. The question is: Can he keep those promises?

Many feel that yes, he can. The vehicle is generating quite a bit of buzz online. As promotions continue, people may even be considering it over getting a Tesla. Apparently, this has to do with the deals attached to the release of the electric car.

14 The Terms Will Be Flexible

via chemetal.com

The worst thing you can go through when getting a car is the terms. So many dealerships have so much red tape for clients to get through. This all makes the whole process quite tedious.

But at Fisker, apparently all that red tape is done away with. The terms at which they've decided to sell their cars are apparently quite interesting. This is a relief to those wanting to buy an environmentally friendly vehicle, but not wanting to spend lots of money.

13 You Can Cancel Any Time

via kykn.com

One huge bonus to their aforementioned loose terms is this point right here: Apparently, when signing a so-called contract with Fisker, the terms therein are so loose, many are having a hard time believing it. If you aren't happy with your vehicle, then you can actually cancel the contract!

Now, how's that for incredible loose terms? This single point right here has generated a lot of talk. And although talk is sometimes cheap, it also gets the word around.

12 It’ll Be Arriving In 2022

via Motor1.com

Although the car has been revealed, it won't be available until 2022. Now talk about hype! The company will be hyping the public for two years! That's a pretty long time. The general public will go nuts waiting for this ride to hit the streets.

But many feel that it's a smart business move. Fisker is just dangling this car in front of people's eyes. People all over will be salivating like a pack of wolves at feeding time. Smart business indeed.

11 In Showrooms As Early As 2021

via Todd Bianco

But, if people can't wait to see one in person, the word on the street is that it will be showcased in showrooms as early as next year. Images have already obviously hit the internet and have gone viral. But as we all know, sometimes that's just not enough.

So if you just can't be patient and need to see one ASAP, and maybe even touch one, then head to a showroom in 2021 if you can. You won't regret it.

10 “California Mode” Explained

via Robb Report

Well, if the beautiful ocean view in the image doesn't inspire visions of California, then maybe the vehicle itself will. By pressing one button in the new Ocean, drivers will be able to lower a whopping nine windows all at once. This includes the solar panel sunroof.

So why "California?" You see that surfboard sticking out of that back window? Well ... there you have it.

9 Is Tesla's Elon Musk Afraid Of A Little Competition?

via inc.com

So who's to say if Elon Musk of Tesla isn't a little worried? Many have wondered. Especially considering the success of the newer Fisker Inc has had in just a short time. Four years isn't all that long, and look at what they've already accomplished.

But at the end of the day, Elon Musk and Tesla are already quite established. And Musk has so many other endeavors. He really doesn't look all that worried. But can these companies co-exist? Perhaps that's the real question.

8 A Bolder Shape & Style

via Motor1.com

The company is promising the world to its would-be clients, and a bolder style and sleeker frame are some of these promises. If compared to other electric vehicles, and other SUVs in general, the style is bolder. Can we say new-age, even? Perhaps we can.

But aesthetics aside, doesn't the public want more than just a physically pleasing vehicle? maybe not everyone out there. Especially those that are thinking of the economy first.

7 Many Have Claimed It’ll Be Safer Than Its Competitors

via Henrik Fisker on Twitter

With incidents of spontaneous combustion caught on video of Tesla cars, safety is obviously a priority. many have wondered about the overall safety of electric cars in general.

The mystery surrounding the incidents hasn't helped any. Many have blamed the famed Tesla batteries, but still, doubt has been set in many. But, many are already claiming that Fisker vehicles are safer overall, and not just on icy surfaces.

6 More Affordable Than The Competition Too

via inc.com

And apart from the terms and conditions. Aside from all the promises of safety and helping to keep the world clean. The thing most people are excited about is the overall price. We can more than understand that, as everyone is trying to save a buck these days.

The price tag on one of these is actually $37,499. This is labeled on the Fisker website as a "base price." Now compared to a Tesla, that's pretty affordable, we'll say.

5 Why Is It Labeled “The World’s Most Sustainable Vehicle?”

via Forbes

First and foremost, all-electric vehicles are better for the environment. Many would say that statement is and can be up for debate as well, however. But overall, it's true enough.

Tesla vehicles do their part for the environment, and we can thank Elon Musk for definitely doing his part. But just why is the Ocean considered to be the most sustainable car the world has ever seen? In statements on social media, this is what the company and its CEO have said.

4 All Vegan Interior

via Cash Roadster

Perhaps one of the most astounding things other than the fact that its electric, is that the interior is completely fabricated using vegan materials. Overall, that means that no animal was harmed in the fabrication of this vehicle. That's beautiful news, and we would have to commend the company for going with this way of thinking. That means, no leather seats, though. We're sure though, that we can all make our peace with that.

3 Recycled Rubber

via newatlas.com

Another fantastic piece of news featuring this vehicle is that the rubber used in making the tires will supposedly be used in the vehicle as well. At the end of it all, there's a lot of wasted rubber on this planet, and to finally have a place to put it is pretty amazing.

It's a small step, yes, but eventually, maybe all companies will be practicing this. We're starting to understand why the price is so low, eh?

2 A Built-In Karaoke

via Stills, My Beating Heart

and if singing is your forte, then you'll be happy to know that a built-in Karaoke system will be implanted in the new Ocean. This means that you can sing along to your favorite Adele songs while rushing off to work.

But this also means that the kids are going to want to sing the theme to Frozen 2 over and over and over again. Brace yourselves, friends. You're in for it!

1 If Interested, You Can Reserve One Today …

via Daily Car Blog
