In the world of customized cars and exotica, there are drivers and there are garage queens that sit all day without ever stretching their legs. Well, this beauty, a restomodded 1972 Chevrolet C10 pickup, is a little of both.

It was originally built to win the International Show Car Association Championship (ISCA) and it did! It was never intended to be a driver but a show truck trailered from show to show collecting trophies and prize money along the way. But just recently it was given a thorough going over and returned to its former glory and now it's actually a pickup truck you can (and will want to) drive. Let's check out this restomodded and multiple show winning Flaming 1972 Chevrolet C10 pickup and see what sets it apart from the crowd.

Not an element of this truck was left untouched and it clearly shows. The chassis was fully boxed, manufacturing holes were welded and smoothed out. All electrical lines and critical hoses were routed inside the boxed frame for a neat, clean look. A C4 Corvette suspension system was added up front and in the rear to give this modded '72 better road manners. It also has an independent Corvette rear, polished stainless steel exhaust and 4 wheel disc brakes.

On the outside, it has a modest chop, shave, and smoothing that accentuates the lines of the C10 rather than destroying them. The underside was painted, chromed, polished, and/or powder coated. And the bed is a work of art. It was tricked out and smoothed with custom roll pans molded inside. Finishing it of is several coats of beautiful PPG black cherry metallic with custom flames.

It also has a rack and pinion steering box with tilt column on the inside, 20" wheels all around, a slick set of headers so that big motor can breathe, and an aluminum radiator and electric fans to help keep it cool.
