A team of Acura engineers – racing under Honda of America Racing Team (HART) – will compete in this year’s edition of One Lap of America.

While the contest’s name seems conservative, it's actually a road rally that spans across 3,200 miles and 12 states -- all in eight days - the event will start and end at the Tire Rack headquarters in South Bend, Indiana.

Two engineers from Honda's North American Auto Development Center -- Nicolas Hammann and Clifton Ching -- will compete in the Luxury Stock Touring class of the race.

The duo will drive a turbocharged 2022 Acura TLX Type S in various events, including timed ones, at nine racetracks across the U.S.

Acura’s aim in entering 2022 One Lap of America is simple -- to further test the performance, handling, and durability of the TLX Type S under extreme conditions.
