Bill Ford was personally on hand to help introduce the latest F-150, and he highlighted a major part of the program, how Ford builds more vehicles in America than any other manufacturer. That dedication to American built products will continue, now with a focus on an All-Electric Ford F-150 also being built at the factory Ford focused on today, the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center.

The Rouge complex is currently being expanded to house the features they'll need to build the new EV truck. Those improvements will cost upwards of $700 Million. If the truck that arrives in 2022 is anywhere close to what Ford is promising, it'll be an investment that pays off.

A major focus was placed on how the truck will be capable of doing anything a current F-150 does, including towing and hauling serious loads. While Tesla and Rivian are getting all the attention, Ford says this F-150 will be the most powerful and fast F-150 in history. It's no easy feat to transition a business, but Ford seems committed to taking on every other brand in the world with a seriously potent truck in the new EV F-150.
